Hey man, you don't have to fully release the trigger to fire off another round. If you didn't know that, try slowly releasing the trigger after you fire. You'll feel a small click, when you feel that you can fire again if you have more ammo in the magazine. It increase accuracy and decrease recoil.

As a fan of the 8.5 BA in 300BLK I like what you’ve done. I chose to direct thread my suppressor with a MI guard covering all but 2 inches of the suppressor. It’s compact, reliable with subs and supers (yes ammo choice matters) Well done

Subsonic ammo
@lorcan2316
@lorcan2316 5 дней назад
You can’t stabilise both subs and supers with a single barrel, you need to choose. Given 300blk was designed to be a subsonic cartridge that is where it shines. Best go with a 1in5 twist is ideal. As a supersonic cartridge it’s pointless there are so many better options
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT 5 дней назад
I do think the 1/7 twist does a good job at stabilizing both light and heavy projectiles. The accuracy portion shows both supersonic and subsonic ammo were stabilized at 50 yards. The 1/5 twist definitely is best for subsonic ammunition. The best 110 gr 300 blackout preforms as good as a 77 gr 5.56 in terms of a wound cavity. I’m going to have to disagree with you on this one. I think 300 blackout performs great with subsonic and supersonic ammo. And being able to switch between the two is a huge benefit of 300 blackout. I appreciate you sharing your opinion.

Got one of these to pair with a Kimber R7 Mako Tactical for the express purpose of becoming my house gun. Running it in the short config with Winchester Super Suppressed 147gr FMJ subsonic and got lots of jamming caused by failure to run the slide fully back. After that, I ran it with G9 Defense 126gr subsonic without cleaning the Mako or the piston and it ran flawlessly with zero malfunctions. Shooting in an indoor range in the short configuration , it was quiet enough to shoot comfortably with no ear plugs with the lower power G9 ammo without any after effects to my hearing. Just exactly what I was hoping for as a home defense platform.

You did the right thing changing up the ammo. Unfortunately there isn’t many ways to tune pistols to run suppressed. Additionally, 9mm ammo can be hit or miss. Once you find a good ammo stick to it. Sounds like a sweet home defense setup. Thanks for sharing.

Found my way here after engaging in one of your shorts. Really great info. I just ran into an issue with an AR setup using a standard height mount. And found with the LVPO I was using. Once I actually got out to stretch the range on it i was getting a lot of scope shadow. Basically having to chew on my stock to get low enough And I realised I had set it up without ear pro in mind... so when I went to actually shoot, the eye box was so unforgiving when teally zoomed in, and I just didn't have enough movement. I wish i had found a video like this prior. I hadnt even considered anything other than "standard height". There is not a lot of discussion out there for different mount heights. Heres a comment for engagement.
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT Месяц назад
I appreciate you sharing your experience. You have proven that it is essential to get out and test your equipment. It is a learning process to understand what works and what doesn’t. It sounds like you could benefit from a higher mount based off your situation. It’s too bad because you already invested money in a mount. If you have having that much of an issue with a standard 1.42 mount you might want to make the jump to a 1.93 mount if your rifle is going to be used for upright shooting. If you plan to shoot in the prone the 1.57ish mounts might be your ticket.
@davidcopeland1067
@davidcopeland1067 Месяц назад
I hate to be that guy because overall, I think this is informative and great. I simply want to add a bit of nuance. When decocking firearms like this we should take advantage of the drop safety mechanisms built into them. Modern DA revolvers for example have a trigger bar requiring the trigger to be depressed for the firing pin to engage. This beretta is no different it seems. Per the beretta 84bb user manual. To lower the hammer with the firearm loaded with round in the chamber. Once one has depressed the trigger to release the hammer, while holding their thumb down on the hammer just as you have shown, to then fully remove their finger from the trigger after allowing the hammer to move forward a little to the half cock position. Then engage the safety. I am not en expert, and not particularly familiar with this beretta. But generally this practice would allow us to take advantage of the internal drop safety mechanisms (if present) of our firearms for an added layer of safety. I'm sharing this not in the spirit of one upmanship. Because this is also how I would decock hammer fired guns until I started learning more about revolvers. But so we can all engage and learn together. Stay safe, have fun, look cool.
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT Месяц назад
You have an excellent point. Thank you for your comment. I had no idea there was an internal drop safety when using the half cock. Good info, thank you.
@davidcopeland1067
@davidcopeland1067 Месяц назад
@@BERGQUISTARMAMENT I'm not sure if this specific gun has one. But I wanted to add to the discourse. It was a change in procedure I made when learning about wheel guns. Because if you take your finger off the trigger, the transfer bar moves out of position. So if the hammer drops, it shouldn't fire. The safety plunger in most modern firearms will prevent the forward travel of the firing pin if the trigger is not fully depressed. I think the series 80 safety on 1911 is an example of this. Glock and M&P have similar drop safes I believe. But those are striker fired. The safety plunger works the same though. Like i said. Im not an expert. I would defer to your experience in handling this firearm. It would actually be pretty cool to see a breakdown of some of these 80s and 90s old school cool guns. A lot of their user manuals and print materials have been lost by now. I initially thought this was a cheetah. Made me think of the matrix 😎. Love the rest of your stuff. Keep it up.
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT
@BERGQUISTARMAMENT Месяц назад
@@davidcopeland1067You were right I just tested this out. If you pull the trigger and release the hammer slightly. Then release the trigger the hammer will go down into half cock.
