Do you find yourself lost in the world of watches? Too many choices and not an infinite amount of cash on you account? Feeling like the Queen-lyrics “I want it all, I want it all, I want it NOW”?
Then you’ve come to the right place because that’s EXACTLY how I feel 😊
So let’s set off on this journey together. Explore watches together and find what we like and dislike.
I’m no watch expert. No “guru” who can tell you what to buy and what to wear or not to wear. Just a simple guy with a camera, a mouth that won’t shut up and a love for watches 😂
Blue!!! 😂 I chose the blue. It’s the color a Seamaster needs to be. But between them you talked me into liking the black. Loved your views, mentioning wifey, and the video quality on the watch shots were impeccable.
Between the black and white I would have also chosen the white. For some reason when I tried the white one on my wrist I didn't like it. I absolutely loved it outside of the wrist but not on it. Weird. So I would have also chosen the black. But between the black and blue, definitely the blue. My actual dream watch (whenever I can afford it) is the 75th anniversary with the gradient blue. Absolutely amazing. I always try on at an AD a watch multiple times before buying it. The only one I tried only once and liked it was the Longines Hydroconquest green. I had tried on the blue but I don't want two blue dial watches in my collection and wanted a green one, and the Longines is really nice.
Ok so it’s a little overpriced but a maintenance free, solar quartz diver makes a lot of sense Obviously Citizen have the market sewn up in this segment and make some fine divers However - while they’re excellent they do lack character Seikos have warmth and charm and if you’re going to buy a quartz watch it might as well be one made by the people who actually invented the technology
While I've never (yet!) purchased a watch of this level, I agree with your reasons for sending it back. I recently returned a limited edition watch because of a tiny defect in the lume. It broke my heart because I actually liked the watch, and the LE was all sold out. But I knew the defect would drive me crazy, so the return was justified.
Thanks mate, love your simple and honest videos. I find your content more true and genuine, it's even better for me as viewer that there's only 7K subscribers - more lamp atmosphere:). Keep going!
Interesting topic for a video! Thx. Fascinating how different these experiences can be. I have this Timex und couldn't get a fit that I liked - always way too tight or loose. So I wear it on a strap. Cheers
Back In Time!- I'm a big fan of 'Knight Rider'. Great video. I recently subscribed to your RU-vid channel, as well... I was born in early-1989 & first got into 'Knight Rider' when I was a kid back in the mid-1990's.
Even I noticed that Watch has quality issue, I purchased watch but I noticed that hour hand is not precisely pointing to the numbers, specially when moving hour hand independently. I tried both GMT watches ( zulu & hydroconquest) both having quality issue.
I have the same watch in 39. Date window is fine, but I have issues with the bracelet. I'm going to live with it since you might get an even worse problem if you get it repaired or replaced, then end up going back and forth and it's just not worth it. I get feeling soured, though, when they didn’t offer to replace. You don't want to feel resentment every time you check the time. Returning may have been the best move.
I bought the same watch, same color, and not only was the date not centered but the bezel was not aligned and irregularly so, as if the numbers on the bezel were not evenly spaced. My seller said the date was normal but sent the watch to Longines for the bezel. Longines said it was within their specs. I agree completely with you on this. I expect a perfect watch, especially for that price but really at any price. I don’t think I can return it since I wore it and am not in Sweden.
Watch people are the way they are, OCD and precise, otherwise they would not be into watches. I would have returned it too, because I would go crazy looking at it everyday.
There's a lot of good ali watches, Addie'sdive is very cheap but good designs, mainly homage but some actual original ones aswell, i like their sand dunes dial designs. Edit they are around £35 though, their homages are around £20
Nice review. For me, the issue with the dial isn’t the negative open space, it’s the flatness of the embassies, the mat dial finish, the this bezel, and the simplicity of the hands. While all of these help the legibility, they also accentuate the open space. This also gives the watch a price point ‘feel’. The dial has a Hamilton look and finish to it. If they added a heavier pebble finish and had painted raised embrace to the dial the negative space wouldn’t look so pronounced. The lume is ok, and would be less obtrusive if it was more of a sand color with less of a green/yellow hue. The sterile nature of the watch is also enhanced when it’s on the bracelet. This is a watch that looks better on the green fabric strap. The hands would look better if they had a cathedral look rather than the arrow. I wanted to purchase this watch. The bracelet is comfortable. The adjustments are great. The case wears incredibly comfortable. But, that dial kills it for me. Maybe the next iteration will address a few of these issues and give it a little more character and less of a AliExpress homage feel.
With all due respect, I would hate customers like you. If there is a problem with a high end product like this, either replace it or fix it. They did offer you this but it was you who declined it. It is on you being a snob. For a minor, repairable issue like this, it is on you. Instead, you refused the dealer, sold the watch and now you make a video. Clearly there is remorse and other reasons for you to make this video; slander, views, compassion or whatever.
