I love pickled eggs grew up on em!!! My mamma always added cloves and cinnamon sticks and nutmeg, think cider spices to ours and oh man I’ve always added them ever since but it’s totally up to your flavor preference!!! That and hot pepper flakes😈😈
No spices? Use FRESH beets and cook them until they are still slightly firm, not mushy like canned beets. Use the water from the boiled beets. And absolutely use some interesting spices and about 90% LESS sugar than in the video. Sugar in all recipes should be a mere flavor enhancer, not a main ingredient. 😂😂😂😂😂 In nearly every recipe I see on line from baked to pickled foods that call for sugar, way, way too much sugar is used. It’s a flavor enhancer at the most not a main ingredient!
If i just put it in some Classico tomato sauce jars, put it in the fridge and not boil the filled jars will it still work? Will the shelf life decrease?
I have 105 half pint jars of cowboy candy on my shelf right now, and more jalapenos to can! My family loves it, so I've made plenty to give away. I planted 45-50 plants this year...jalapenos everywhere!! It's delicious! I use the exact recipe that you use.
Doesn't make sense-The recipe was from a woman and she was famous for her pickled beets why would she be using canned beets that are not pickled to make these eggs? And beets and pickled beets are two different things.
I just saw these and thought I'd look for a review. They're cheap, come in a two pack with filters for $10. Can't beat that. I don't like buying things without first watching reviews. Thank you for posting.
Love your video except I’ve tying. You’re using egglands best eggs. A BIG NO NO. Buy your eggs local fresh or any kind that’s nit associated with egglands best or land o lakes (owned by Blackrock).
I think your beautiful. Im a country boy from OHIO . Grew up on a farm and lived off of pickled veggies, chestnuts from the back trees, and all sorts of pies, custards and mushrooms. I'll give ya a little something momma, try a little ALL SPICE. NOT MUCH. MAN OH MAN I WISH YOU WERE SINGLE. SEMPER FI
