I am learning to play the best games on the planet! Come on my journey while I unpick the mechanics and figure out how to succeed in titles like Runescape, Kerbal Space Program 2 and Brighter Shores (and more - let me know what you'd like to see!). As I make progress I'll share guides and tips & tricks to help you get better at your favourite games too!
Sorry the end of the video is a bit choppy guys, the game wasn't getting along with my recording SW adn this was the end of a long recording session. I've got a fix sorted for next time!
Extremely boring game, and I ran into the same problem as others - just ugly planets and ugly lifeforms. Very unappealing. Also, really hate the need to click and then open each canister and having to click through menus. The whole process could be so much faster. The long press feature should be used sparingly and when actually needed.
The need to click and hold is super annoying you are right - I think that's a product of the devs switching to make the game primarily for consoles just before launch. Still people are saying this new rework does make a huge difference to the looks of the game, so I am looking forward to seeing it once I get out of the 'starter zone'.
@@GoldRocketGamers They seriously need a Quality of Life update where they concentrate 100% on making interactions with UI, etc. enjoyable. Forget about new content, just make the mechanics of the game enjoyable. The time it takes to do stuff is a major factor in keeping people from playing a game or finding it fun. I've returned many games on Steam for this very reason.
@@mach5406 yeah, little things like using 'x' to quickly transfer stuff between ship and inventory etc. is super unintuitive, as is the crafting system. However, I found that after I learned all the little shortcuts and weird ways they do things, it started to become natural. But if you leave the game and then come back it's very frustrating because you have to relearn the UI which is nothing like any other game.
Yeah, it is great to see studios keep supporting a game so long after launch. I have had a similar experience in the past but I think I have a solution. I am a bit of a completionist and like to 100% everythign before moving on, which makes this very tiresome. This time round I am forcing myself to keep moving and keep hopping systems. I think this will be much more interesting and give a more varied experience - let's see!
@@GoldRocketGamers RE: Being a completionist. Oh how I can relate!! I came to the same conclusion and find myself enjoying games more. Thanks for the sharing of thoughts.
I have an i4770k and a GTX RTX 4070, so should be just fine. Yes recording takes an extra toll but even so, it shouldn't be crashing like that. It does get better after those first few minutes, so may have just been an issue with first loading the game whilst also recording. I just left it in so people could see the 'authentic' experience, since the game is supposed to have been optimised. Notably, it only crashed when I changed graphics settings, if I left them alone it was just fine.
Haha! Yeah you are right, it isn't a whole new game. Although I'm gonna keep going - I think there is some really interesting stuff in the next few solar systems - let's see!
@@antoniogann7434 Haha, glad you're enjoying it? Is 76 good now? It flopped at launch andso I never tried it, but I know they updated loads of stuff since then!
Its a lie as per usual... i played 10 hours of the new update and every single planet i found is a giant dry and desolate spherical turd with barely any vegetation let alone grass and nice looking trees... also very ugly and toxic atmosphere , no such thing as green lush forests and blue skies. I hate this game. This is the 4th time i start a new game and end up finding garbage planets and quitting because of it.
Just wanna mention this. Brighter shores does not really seem like an MMO. It looks more like the gower brothers previous style game Devious MUD (multi user dungeon). There is no massive open world, wich i think is a bit unfortunate. But I'll have to try it to see how it feels.
Yeah I know what you mean. I think it's technically an MMO if more than say a few dozen people can be on the same server. For me, whatever you 'classify' it as, I'm just hoping for a good game that we can play for years to come!
Cool to see the comparison between the games! I'm an OSRS player but somewhere deep down i still want to see how rs3 looks sometimes 😂 keep up the good work!
Ahh thanks for letting me know, I just assumed it was a ban on all d'hide gear! Well hopefully soon I'll have some nice barrows armour instead anyway 😅
Glad to hear it, with most of my experience being in RS3 I thought it was an interesting comparison. Not sure whether people are after OSRS 'pure' videos or more comparisons like this. If it's interesting for you too, then I can definitely do more like this!
Haha good tip! That's why I go in naked, nothing to lose except the time you spend there. Some people prefer to bring defensive gear (which is probably the optimal strat if you know what you're doing).
I didn't know that, to be honest though I like googling as switching between FCs can be a pain. Yeah I feel you, this is meant to be just an intro to really easy tasks that can be done with minumum effort, yet still give significant cash / xp. I can definitely cover serious money makers or skilling methods. Are you after something in particular like (for example) bossing or trading?
@@GoldRocketGamers most discords have the bot in their own FC if you prefer that you can invite the app to your own server I guess I just got sus about that Warbands site because wasn’t sure if they were going rogue ever I’m not sure maybe a higher level guide would be nice 👍 I am comped 120 all , I kind of have my own agenda but I always watch money makers lol 😂 just to see what’s out there The thing about money maker guides is the profit usually dies if a guide is made well & accessible or community content creator makes one on it Currently I am working on master of clues , got 120 all, 4.8B working towards 5.8B , blue phat working towards white + yellow , I mainly do clues for money or PVM .. things like farm runs I keep to just POF now lol I’ve hit 1M beats roughly 3 times now going on 4 😆 Idk I feel like nowadays as I get older I have to become more strategic about my limited play time after work or between. We are all limited in our time. I totally get the consistency of farming runs , maybe I should play for fun and disregard always maximizing playtime efficiency
The breeding pen is the only pen where you can get uninspected eggs, the other pens will always drop eggs in the pen which then becomes inspected, so you can't sell them on the GE. That and the slower breed rate made it just more aggro than it was worth for me
Was about to chew you out for not maximizing profit on your runs but realized you added "and XP" to the title...this is def not the optimal daily guide for gp. 👍Great for XP>GP 👍
You can right click the herb patch and toggle the amount of seeds you want to plant. That way you just have to use the seeds on the patch and don’t have to select the amount every time (only worth if the seed price is lower then the herb price) Take Slayercape to Mandrith for your rune shop run to safe some time and use the wiki page for the Rune Goldberg Machine. It shows the profit and cost of each combination. Another great thing to do daily are the special wilderness flash events. If you unlocked Fort Forinthry you can use the herb shop there. It restocks everything daily. And you skipped Bill, the shop for the limestones in Fort Forinthry. Other than that very good daily’s to do
You definitely get them for every month you have been a member, (without a break) but I seem to remember even when I cashed in 20 bonds at once for 12 months premier membership I was still getting monthly points, not all at once (although that could have changed?)
Yeah I feel you, it is frustrating but the same principles apply, it doesn't actually take as long as you think to earn the money, especially once you get your first bond and become a member (I have a vid on that too if you're interested)
Haha I nearly edited that out of the intro trailer but I decided to be hopeful for now! But yeah might end up having to make thate dot sooner or later 😆 I'm hoping they will be able to sell it and the colonies etc will be added, but tbh I've still got quite a lot to do anyway - certainly enough for a fair few more videos
The problem is the buy limits at the GE which prevent high alching being a solid moneymaker. You can buy the max rune platelegs and high alch them in less than 10 minutes and then have to wait 4 hours to buy more..
Yeah Ive got you, but the table I showed had 17 different items to buy, and by the time you've bought and alch'ed all 17 a significant amount of time should have passed. Also I recommend putting in large buy orders whenever you go offline as you can complete multiple buy limits if you are offline for more than 4 hours.
I was thinking the same, apparantly some people do do it! I would have tried it except I am not a PKer. 50% is steep though, might as well go do other money makers. 25% woul be plenty if you have multiple people running the course.
Good tip, I did actually do that but it didn't seem to mak much difference, I guess PKers are jumping through all worlds looking for people. They may even knw that people go to the less populated worlds and target those.
@@JoeyJaguarr Oh really? I never knew about that. So just turn off private messages and then you're ok? Or is the problem with accepting friend requests?
unless ur gonna want fast xp then wilderness agility course isnt worth doing at all you will most likley die every time you go the pkers are mega camping there every day
For the wilderness agility course, some of my clan mates told me of the "agility fc" chat that will find clear worlds and have a few pkers to protect those doing the course.
That's a great shout, although won't PKers just join it to find the worlds people are running? I thought about maybe gearing up and protecting the players but tbh I'm not good enough at PvP to do it. Glad some people are being kind enough to do so!
@@GoldRocketGamers That is definitely a possibility. The person who made it has kicked people who've done that. Cause it happened once when I was running the course
@@Gonchicha I feel your pain! Try different times of day or days of the week, or don't stay so long. Also if you are only interested in skilling and don't bring anything wih you then you don't really lose anything by dying.
