That’s awesome to hear! We use the Browne Protein Overdrive right before the Hog, and we especially like pairing it with the Blue Side of the Protein. In case you’re not familiar, the Blue Side is modeled after the Bluesbreaker circuit. They also offer it as a standalone pedal called the Carbon. We find it works great with a Bluesbreaker-type overdrive!
Blackbird Pedalboards solderless cable kit, but unfortunately, they’re no longer in business. However, I’ve seen that Beetronics FX offers a similar product!
In the headphones Channel B came through much thicker I didn't think I was going to dig this pedal but it's actually not bad your riffs are always beautiful as well
It's July 22nd 2024. I got this guitar on the evening of June 27th. Dave Grohl is the reason I ever considered starting a band & learning guitar a few months later. I started playing at the age of 21 in 2001. Not only is it a Dave Grohl signature guitar, it's also gorgeous, the pickups are REALLY good, it made me want to play in a variety of different styles, etc. This is just a great guitar no matter who's name is associated with it. The fact that it's a signature guitar of Dave Grohl, means a LOT to ME. Maybe more to me or possibly less but he's the reason I picked up a guitar.
@@thepedalcouple When I bought "The Colour & The Shape" in the summer of 1998, that was a complete game changer for that followed up with one of my absolute favourite albums "There is Nothing Left to Lose" released in November of 1999.
Funny enough I was at a foo fighters gig on the evening of 27th June 2024. My order has been in for months but probably won't receive mine till next year. Massive backlog in uk
@@John-es7zn It's worth the wait! You'll love it when you get it. FYI, it does have a chunky neck, didn't bother me after 10 minutes though. Just something to keep in mind. Even if it wasn't associated with Dave Grohl, it's a really good guitar.
Thanks! We haven't tried the Humboldt Simplifier yet but I have friends that use it and we've heard really good things about it. We're still using the Boss IR-2 and it's been working great. Hope you are able to get what you need and works for you ☺️
Funny they gave it a person's name. I think I will build a fuzz pedal and it call Fred. The Fred Fuzz has a nice ring to it! lol Anyway, cool demo, pedal seems nice.
Right?! Especially since that is my ex's name 😂🙈 The Fred Fuzz does have a nice ring to it, I would definitely be interested in the Fred Fuzz. Glad you enjoyed the demo, thank you for watching!
Excellent demo reel as always.I always loved MXR products they always manage to bring interesting effects. What do you think is the most outstanding feature of this pedal?😂 keep the good work.i love when carmen say Lets do this.❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! That is a hard question but at least for me it is the Echo 2 switch adds a secondary set of echoes and that it can be adjusted through advanced settings.
Hi, great demo reel always love MXR products. Carmen, what do you think is the most special feature of this pedal? Keep up the good work, love it when you say, let's do this. lol.❤😂
ive had this pedal for a bit and im really curious to see if anyone knows what the blue potentiometer(?) on the back of the pcb controls? its first seen at 0:28 and i havent seen anyone mention it before, not even in the manual
Is there a noticeable volume drop when the pedal is on? I like using flangers for guitar solos but I've found half the time they make guitar leads sound quieter if you're using the wrong flanger
I love my Nighthog!!!! had to get the special edition. a crunch and a distortion thats separated into two signals then blended back together... what an awesome pedal!! one of the best distortions i have with so much versatility.
