In this video, you can listen to the BOSS IR-2, a guitar amp emulator and cabinet IR loader in a compact pedal. Join us as we explore the different settings and features that this pedal has to offer.
When the Effects Loop is on we are using the Walrus Audio Slotva Multi Texture Reverb, the EHX Pico Rerun Tape Delay, and the Cornerstone Gladio Overdrive (Channel 1).

Thanks! We haven't tried the Humboldt Simplifier yet but I have friends that use it and we've heard really good things about it. We're still using the Boss IR-2 and it's been working great. Hope you are able to get what you need and works for you ☺️

Thanks. What is your output ? A powered monitor or ? When you are using stereo output, you plug both output A and output B?may I ask why? Are you using stereo TRS cable? Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply! The output of the pedal is going to the Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo and the Canvas goes to our interface. For stereo we are using both Output A and B. You have to use both outputs if you want to go stereo. Not using a TRS cable, using a regular guitar/instrument cable.

It can take WAV IR files. And our apologies for not going into detail about this. That is a great idea though for a follow up video for this pedal.

We like that it has several amp types. I know there are others that have different amp styles as well but this is the first one we actually try that has several options when it comes to the amp emulating part. We also like that you can switch between two amps/can tones with the pedal switch.

@@morbidmanmusic Sorry if it seemed like we evaded the question, that was not our intent. Reading now our response I can see how it may sound a little vague. We've talked to @barefootbeardedwizardry about amp emulators and cab sims before so I think we kinda answered having that in mind but you guys have no idea what we've talked before lol so our apologies. If there's anything that you would like us to explain further or to let you know what we've used in the past that we compare this to, please let us know.

What about using this with an overdrive pedal? Klon? TS? Bluesbreaker? Paisley Drive?

At 5:30 we use it with the Cornerstone Gladio, a Dumble style Overdrive. We wanted to show the pedal with an overdrive and other types of effects, so we just used that one. We've used it with a Klon, TS and a Bluesbreaker and it takes those overdrives really well too.

Somebody please help. Does this pedal go to an amp or in a daw/console? I have a fender blues junior. Thanks in advance yall!! I want to use it for live performance

Used to emulate different amp types. So normally out to a headphones, daw/console or to a pa.

Sorry for replying now but @larryhagman3543 got it. This pedal emulates an amp and a cabinet and it is meant to be used going into a daw/console or PA like he said. If you like Fender amps the TWN emulates a Twin Reverb and the TWEED a 1959 Bassman. We like to use ours with the Walrus Canvas LI/DI which converts your unbalanced signal into a balanced.

Guitar>>BOSS IR-2>> Fender blues junior. I m reading about the Walrus Canvas LI/DI, i think this will be the solution.

@@chaza.2891 It depends, what are you looking for tonewise? Are you needing to cut through the mix or maybe have a more overdriven sound? There may be other pedals that could work better for you if you are already using an actual amp.

I can't find a demo anywhere that simply shows how to set two channels. The user manual sucks and is frustrating me.

I've heard great things of the Walrus ACS, I haven't tried it personally but would love to, since Walrus makes great products. We are actually using the BOSS IR-2 with the Walrus Canvas Stereo.
