Dude, how i reset the system? I have a similar at my BMW, but the CarPlay split the window control (half at parking camera/ half the rádio navigator station). Lost the pad control and acused an error.
I have a 2008 X5. That little plastic tab that you pull which is attached to the release cable on my car is broken. The tab was accidentally left dangling and when the tailgate closed it was crushed. Does anyone have the part number just for the L-shaped plastic tab? I've scoured the Internet with no luck. Please help,. thank you.
for those who want to know the yellow poly bushes have a shore-a rating of 60, purple is 70 and black is around 90 so this would be softer than normal poly bushes but still harder than default rubber.
I have actualy the same problem one week ago i smelling shit in my car. what the hack is this i am checking the back seat carpit and its full whit water holly molly.
Battery dead on 2017 X5 … I found the manual tailgate latch in order to access rear battery compartment. On inside left corner of lower tailgate there is a small square cover panel, pop that open with a flathead screw driver, pull the little cover (cable is attached) and it will manually unlatch the top tailgate.

Use the blade key to unlock the drivers door, then either open the hood to jump the car or, climb to the back and use this video to open the trunk! Good luck!
@@Lormusic67I found it, same situation with 2017 x5. There is a small cover about 1.5” square on the lower tailgate, left side (inside). Pop cover open with a flathead and the cover has a cable attached, tug on it, that will manually unlatch top tailgate.
My E70 didn’t want to open the tailgate. I pulled te emergency cable on the boot and the only thing it does is the same as the tailgate button trying to open and close it for a centimetre. The latch mechanism is jammed no way to open it. Pulled the panel with brute force but the bolts are coming from the wrong was as there mount from open booth 🤬
A very clear video and still useful in 2024!. Now it's a question not only of saving money but of finding someone who knows the hood mechanism of a 25 year old BMW. Much better to sort it myself. Thank you Zach.
This works when done properly. A quick spray with brake clean is not cleaning all that road grime and such you can still clearly see. This will effect the overall performance of this and the longevity of the installation. Take a brush, wire or plastic, tooth brush works even, and scrub it with a bit of dawn and water mixture. Or alternately, you can get that engine cleaner from Gunk. Dawn tends to be a bit cheaper in the long run, you get a lot more for your buck. After you scrub it up a good bit knocking all that grime loose, THEN blast it with some brake clean, or 90-99% IPA (isopropyl alcohol). Then you can install your window weld or other tubed poly product, and expect it to stick much better. Watch someone install a window or windshield. They clean and prime the location before applying the polyurethane.
Thank ya sir, any particular glue you reccomend? And what if my door panel on passenger rear is just a little loose do you think that maybe means I need to replace the door panel?
Awesome video. I will be doing this soon. Thanks for showing me that I don't have to fully disassemble the whole intake side. How was it bolting the exhaust manifold back in?
