I’ve been considering the reppin but I don’t know about the cage if I would like it. I’ve had bowflex and I didn’t like it for as how bulky it was. I like real dumbbells. This is as close to fix dumbbells I’ll get. I’m dead set on these ones. That’s for the review.
@@angelsierra4614 you are very welcome. I have used fixed dumbbells extensively through my training journey, and these are as similar a feel as any adjustable dumbbell that I have ever tried.
@@babygiantbarbell1014 I do similar all the time . When my hip was injured I would lower the squats and other movements much slower making it to where it can’t be loaded as heavy . I hope your elbow heals up quickly 👍🏻👍🏻
@@wilsong4096 thanks brother. It will be fine. I am 95% sure it is just bursitis. Tendons and ligaments intact. It just hurts like hell the first few sets
@@RuntTyson ima put that at a solid eventually 😁 that is a big goal of mine, but I am going to be a bit more methodical until my elbow bursitis calms down in that left elbow. It has been PISSED the last few workouts
@@Jared-zr7ns I honestly have no idea if the carabiner at your specific gym will fit through the eyelit, but worst case you would just buy the extra carabiner after experimenting.
GOD DAMN MF THAT IS A GOOD LOOKING BACK just imagine how it would look if you got your body fat percentage lower not thats it bad i just think it would pop out more you about to get the Dorito build
@@Alabama_Kurt thanks Unc! I just posted another short with my back physique progress. I am stoked with where I am at and super excited to see where I can go!
Great review, thanks BGB! Been eyeing the HD's for some time but they've been out of stock for a while. Thinking of getting the rep x pepins but in consideration of the handle length, not sure if I should commit or just wait for a restock of the HD'S. Do you plan on trying the fast series out and comparing it?
You got it, man! I do not have any plans on getting the Repins, but that is mainly because I am happy with what I have. If I was choosing and was starting from scratch, it would come down to how heavy I would plan on going up to and how important supersetting was. I think both the HD’s and the Repins are great choices otherwise.
@@Alabama_Kurt 😂 thanks Unc! I have tremendous respect for Alabama as a program, and TN has been 💩since I began following them in lane’s first and only year there. I understand AL has taken a step back, but I still feel a sense of doom when we get ready for them 😁 oh and tell Wilson to stop being a chapped 🍑 and I still love him 😂😂😂
@@timeless1000 I have not made a video because it is like most of the other DIY platforms seen online. It is just 2 4’x8’ pieces of treated plywood with a 4’x4’ center piece of plywood as the top standing area and a 2’x4’ piece of stall mat on each side for the landing area of the plates. Each piece of plywood and each stall mat should be 3/4” thickness, but I had to double up 1/2” thick stall mats because 3/4” stall mats were not available when I built mine. Hope that helps.
Great review! What would you choose between the new Repin Dumbbells, the Pro Powerblocks, or just get more rubber coated hex dumbbells since I already have them up to 50lbs but need to go to at least 100lbs. Thank You!
Can’t believe your little guy is already 16 months! Time sure flies. Appreciate the shoutout as well Phil. Life as a father is not without its challenges, but it’s important we lead by example and show responsibility (to fatherhood, family, work ethic and staying healthy), flexibility and time management. The last one is probably the trickiest! 😂 it’s also imperative that you listen to your body and the mental side of what drives you, rather than following what many see as a “working formula”, because one size does not fit all. Good luck and continued success with the hypertrophy!
@@twistedbarbell3950 thanks Marcus, and I really appreciate you weighing in with your thoughts! I 100% agree on finding one’s why. That is very important and different for each person. I hope you continue to push forward in your strength journey, and I am sure we will meet back up on that one day!!!!
Sorry I missed this one . Congrats on your upcoming family addition Phillip ! My youngest is 2 and being more adaptable as you said with the workouts is definitely part of the deal . Great video 👍🏻
@@wilsong4096 thanks Wilson! We are very excited to meet him. I remember you making a comment on a video previously regarding being more flexible with lifting on a day to day basis, and that has proven to be the case in my regard also. I appreciate you, bro!
@@babygiantbarbell1014 yes sir . I may start doing more cardio as well and start focusing more on diet than I have been . High cholesterol and high blood pressure runs strong in my family .
