So sick, congrats! Saw this line IRL when it was still a project, cool to see it getting sent. I climbed at that crag in September and thought it was one of the most beautiful places I climbed in Squam. Immaculate vibes, but folks need to do better picking up after themselves. I found a ton of trash and litter at that crag. I packed it out but more folks should do the same! Keep that place clean, it's an absolute gem! The granite there is top notch.
@0:28, shocked when the climb was wet......in the rain. Also, slowest static climbing I've ever seen on what looks like a 1000 move 8a+...looks like it's time to upgrade :)
I have a question about the R rating. First off epic send, I have nothing to take away from it, it was awesome. That being said, why the R rating? I understand that there were what looked like some 20-25ft runouts towards the end, but it seems like while huge, a fall would be perfectly safe even if your last piece blew. The route is 140 ft and looks gently overhanging so falls shouldn't be dangerous even if climbing that high over gear is terrifying. Do danger ratings just get soft the higher you go? Cuz in my experience even pg-13 routes on the low grades I climb seem to have serious risk of injury if you're not very confident at the grade.
