Jess & Rory only semi-worked bc the actors were dating IRL and had great chemistry. In all honesty, Jess was a scumbag in seasons 2 & 3 - rude, arrogant and condescending to everyone at all times.
When you mature you realise this girl played them boys lol. Having one boyfriend while hanging out alone with another guy is a bitch move. She acts innocent but isnt at all. And Jess was onto her while she was in a relationship tryna break it. No saints here
They are actually soul mates and make each other better 😢 Jess was not great at communication as a teen but he gave Rory multiple chances to be with him. Rory is just too blind to see it.
i want this. idc i want all of their relationship, i want the anger, the sorrow, the rebellion. but i want the happiness and caring and love. the serotonin i get from watching them is insane like, damn.
Logan all the way. He totally adored her. Encourated her. He matured so much over time. They were the best influences on each other. He had the class and manners to get along with her grandparents and her mom ultimately. And he truly loved her despite his money and all the women he could have. That’s why he didn’t go back in his word once he proposed and told her he wouldn’t be able to just go back Tragically she just didn’t ubderstand how special love is and thought being married after all the time they lived together and went through all they did together it was like it all was just nothing to her . Just a continual nothing . And she couldn’t see she could have her career and a fantastic partner . She totally kept on until she found out the hard way That he never would go back that he still was there for her but never would she be his wife material. Sad he was marrying with having an affair with her but he still moved the new one in and Rory became his side piece sinking Lower and lower into a after thoght in a hotel he may pop over and have sex with maybe if it fit into his new life coming up. I think he knew she would finally get it and have enigh dignity to not sink any lower and get reality. She is the example of missing her opportunities and basing her whole life on external sucess she thoght it was. She ended up with nothing because she focused it all on her one way only vision and found out what is most important. Than to end up pregnant from two possible men thst she was just the side piece of so ultimately eveh her mom finally made her life with her love and Rory back with nothing but gonna think she and her kid should be with her mom like always What a horrible way ti end up after men that loved her all the the way but she never appreciated what she had
It's obvious that they end up together!!!!! I HAVE NO DOUBTS. Here's why: I just started watching the series again, and you can see it already in season 1 in episode 1 and 2 even though Jess is still not there. There are obvious hints on how the story repeats itself...for example: - Rory's real name is Lorelai Gilmore too - There is a scene were they are angry at each other after discussing about going to Chilton; Rory is laying in bed, she tells her mum to leave her room, she turns on the radio and a specific song plays...then you see Lorelai doing the same in the living room (she lays on the couch, turns on the radio, and the same song plays). - Lorelai mentions several times in episode 1 how they are the same, she understands her in everything that she does or think (cause she did the same), for example when Rory doesn't want to go to Chilton after meeting Dean. “After all, you’re me,” she tells her daughter: “someone willing to throw important life experiences out the window to be with a guy.” - In episode 2, Lorelai and Rory are walking through the street, they stop outside Lukes cafe, and Lorelai asks Rory if she thinks Luke is cute; Rory tells her not to date him if not they wouldn't have anywhere to get the coffee from after they broke up...a few seconds later when they leave (they continue walking), you can see Luke getting out of the cafe looking at them in the distance (he was probably hoping they would go in), cause he wanted to see Lorelai...plus you can definitely see he has feelings for her (and vice versa, but I don't think Lorelai is really aware...yet). After that scene, the episode 2 ends! And that's how the last episode of the revival ends, but instead of being Luke thinking about seeing Lorelai, it was Jess looking at Rory. - Rory gets pregnant when she's 32 (yes, older than her mum), but still not being the person she wants to be or thought she would be at that age. And she gets accidentally pregnant from a man who had consistently attempted to manipulate her emotionally, socially, and financially. Also being "the perfect boyfriend" in the eyes of her grandparents, who just think about money and are very classist...just like Christopher was for Lorelai
One thing I like about Rory is that even though she's young, she's her own person. She doesn't let other girls influence her like some other girls like their friends influence them. And Rory holds herself strong and speaks her mind around the boys and she's confident with them. That's probably why she attracts a lot of boys. When I was a teenager my world would have crumbled apart if a guy even looked at me wrong. And I would get all giggly and awkward and shy. Idk lol I admire her for being so comfortable In her own skin. Of course I haven't watched Gilmore Girls in years but I used to watch it faithfully but that was a good 10+ years ago lol so I'm speaking from someone who hasn't watched most of it in years. But that's how I always perceived in her character.
i completely agree :’) sometimes when i think this, i also love thinking about how she’s a mini lorelai, very similar but in her own way and just as dorky as her mum 😂 so i love this. seeing how rory is as a person inspires me to raise my future daughter, not in the exact same way of course, but a little bit how lorelai raised her. (:
Watching this back it is so obvious he did everything because he liked her. And despite her being so inquisitive for her age, I still would have been in denial at her age, too!
People gotta stop being hard on Rory considering she wasn’t half as problematic as normal teens even though she was brought up by a single parent like Lorelei, no hate on Lorelei, but she was more of a parent than friend. Rory did good for someone who had what she had. Things got good for her slowly, but her mistakes made her the person she is.
These love stories ruined my life. I expected love to be like this. Now I realize this crap doesn't happen to mere mortals. The geek and the jock doesn't happen in real life.
