This is a great looking barn/run in shed. It is very well thought out. I have been studying it for months and have plans to use your prototype to build our own. How tall is your barn? You mentioned at least 10 feet. It looks closer to 12 or 14 feet. For add on purposes would 16 feet be ideal? Secondly, is there anything you would change or modify now that you have two horses and have been using it a while? Thanks again for this great video and the one where you showed the stages of building it. It has been very helpful.

@@user-qn9vb6cd4h hi there. Thank you. To be honest I don’t recall how tall it is but I would estimate 14’ at the tallest point. To this day I can’t think of a single thing I would change. Since the build I’ve only had a couple of mice sneak in. Thats becuase of the wood ceiling I have in there has made sure they stay out. I would also recommend you get the bird netting. Thanks for watching. So glad it helped. -William

I think you just helped me decide which trees I want to plant in my horse pasture! Good and enjoyable video, thanks! I’d love to see an update of how the trees are doing since you planted.
@RuralVibesVa
@RuralVibesVa 27 дней назад
I would recommend making a fence around the trees so the horses can reach them. This one ended up dying. Not sure if the corrugated pipe made it to hot or what - maybe it was something else that struck the tree.

Tried to email you (through You Tube email address) to get the name of your builder of this barn. I am in Virginia, too, and need to bring a horse home within the next 60 days, so need to get a run in shed or small barn build, and fence put up. Would really appreciate if you could share the name of the company or person that built your barn/run in for you. The email didn't go through, as it said the email address was under construction or full. Thank you!

I'm about half way thru a trail loop on my densely forested property . The ticks are alive and well here in the Tidewater VA area just about all seasons. Making the first pass extra wide to get the debris cleaned so things will dry out , keep the ticks down. Don't have a tractor or riding mower, so my main tools are a good backpack blower, & chain saw for fallen trees .Have lots of game tracks already ! . I haven't heard of many folks doing this, definitely worth it . Thanks for the great video!

It’s been a few years now..how did this go? I’m tempted to try for this spring.. We have a horse farm as well but from the few videos I’ve seen you do a better job at keeping nice mowed wood fence lines. Ha

Not to good. My entire bee system swarmed. Not sure why. They still had plenty of room to expand and when I checked on them I thought they were doing rather well. Would love to give it another go sometime.

Definitely the best way. My only issue doing this with mine that’s a good bit longer and wider is it gets kinked..even when using the tractor to flip it (it’s really heavy). I’d like to make one just for pasture dragging to not have to flip it.

You could put four in the middle if you made two stall under the overhang putting the horses all together and feed and tack on the ends.

Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ru-vid.comUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!

My Dr. Fields brush cutter is 25 years old but only gets used a couple times a year. I just broke a belt on it which is the first repair I have had to do on the machine. The battery died years ago but I just jump it and it runs until I shut it off (original battery). This is by far one heck of a machine.
