Man, you can really hear Doyle’s influence on Stevie in his voice. It’s the same way you can hear Albert King in SRV’s playing. You can hear Doyle in Stevie’s voice in both timbre and inflection. Makes me wonder how many people think that’s Stevie singing here.
Fantastic voice😍!! I love this version 100 times better than the Stones😮, excellent!👏👏 Way better guitarist too🤫! It's ok, Keith never claimed to be the best😌~
My all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac Album. It didn't sell as many copies as others did but musically speaking this was their absolute best. Peter Green with Jeremy Spenser and Danny Kirwan has been the best 1-2-3 guitar punch ever assembled in a band.
This song got me right in to heavy metal when I heard the English band Urchin play it in their set....this version was a regular at The Bandwagon in the late 70's...!!
I was at the front left of the crowd aged 21 in platform shoes standing in 6 inches of mud. I knew I was slowly sinking as the day went on. In the evening, at the end of Rainbow's set, I tried to walk away. As I lifted my feet out of the mud, the soles my shoes came off and stayed in the mud. I walked back to the railway station in bare feet wearing only the tops of the shoes! No doubt some archeologist will find the soles in a 1000 years time in a Timewatch dig and try to figure out what kind of shoes they came from!
Just left a comment on your Tear Stained Letter song---- now it's rainin' in my heart (and tears from my eyes) upon learning about your passing right after doing what you loved, and were born to do--- keepin' that great Cajun music going, and now you're singing to Jesus. Loved by many, you will be missed! 💕 🌹 rosita
Bonnet is really strained in some parts and the song loses a lot of that mystical feel, as Bonnet's voice isn't agile enough for some of the vibrato and runs Dio did. Bonnet more or less throttles through the vocals without all the nuance. Still a good cover, Bonnet's style was just more Rock / R&B than operatic proto-metal.
the important message is at the very end. he has dreams to remember….and nothing else because he ha spent his life dreaming instead of doing. so profound and sad…..
