Good job WW. Only thing I would do different is go inside at the end and check the Delta T and just verify the feel and performance. Unless you did it off camera 😉
You just have to scoop up some dirt or you could have used the dirt from the dirty coil and put it on the dog poop to control the smell while you are near it.I worked as an utility locator for years and would have to go into back yards like that.I called them land mines! Lol
My neighbors compressor is drawing 3.4 amps and I did replace the cap because it was under the 10% capacity and he still wanted it replaced anyway but the suction line is cool but not cold or sweating and the evap is dripping water even onto the filter. I did vac the condensate as it was partially blocked but I’m guessing low refrigerant or partially blocked txv but just wanting some info on similar symptoms and what it was. I do have the elite h gauges that I just got but I haven’t hooked anything up to check SC.
Thank you for the video I have these gauges and the manual doesn’t say if these are the standard CCW for open or CW for open but I see you went CCW to open the wheel for charging so I just want to make sure mine were closed before I even hook them up.
Between the dog poop and the dirty coil, you could pitch this episode to "Dirty Jobs". Sorry that you had to go through that. Keep doing that hustle. That coil appreciates it. (LOL)
Interesting they used a slab evaporator when they changed the A/C system. At least the evap coils were made of copper. Not sure what that volve stem is for next to the evaporator. That installer left the flange nut fitting off of the king valve schrader for some reason. The brass flange nuts with the neoprene O ring are best as a backup. Another quick diagnosis get it fixed right by WW HAVC.
I went to a call today. That the system was flat on refrigerant and found a port on the indoor coil that didn’t have a valve in it and was leaking from the plastic cap they had on it
