I see that you are trying very hard and you didn't cut any of the steps in the video, but what you did is not working with the restorer, but it's good if you think you can succeed in your business, feel free
Our! There's something I wish I had done. Make wooden furniture. Here in Brazil, they call it a joiner. But I'm a woman, I'm already 63 years old. But I love it with a passion. I wanted a small saw.🇧🇷♥
Interesting REPRODUCTION. A RESTORATION would have kept as much of the ORIGINAL parts in and used either a glue or some type of e[oxy to stabilize them to preserve them. The idea of a RESTORATION is preserve a piece of history as close to it's original historic condition with as many of it's original parts as possible.
My dad built a stool very similar to this one, made out of 2×4's. The only difference was that he made an opening in the top of the stool so that you could put your hand in, and move the stool more easily. That was 40 years ago. I still use it today!
You lost me at the inanimate objects have feelings crap. What I saw looked professional & skilled. Too bad. Lots of other channels like yours that don't use emotion like a hammer. Maybe it's just me, which means you've lost nothing. I don't request an apology for offending my common sense nor will I offer one for exercising my right to be honest. I'm on the spectrum and cannot lie. I sincerely wish you a fulfilling life.
I restored and flipped since childhood, making my first pay at the age of 8. I did household restorations and proceeded through life making money with my hands and hard work. I was usually unsupervised by my widowed mother and left home at 15. I was never told about lead paint, black mold or silica poisoning. I never knew that the items I flipped...from fruit boxes to fully restored houses could actually be what I might die from. Having earned a real estate license and an auctioneer diploma and license, I learned about the things to watch for to protect myself and clients. I also learned how in the name of greed people used as shortcuts and warn others. THAT isn't my way. Having said all of this I would like to notify everyone to wear reparatory protection and that it should be the best you can afford as it might protect you from COPD, Cancer, Lung Infections, and Black Mold Allergies- Infections and potentially sudden death from exposure. Personally, I developed Gene Damage which led to nearly no IgG and IgA after a really bad Black Mold exposure. This led to the need of very expensive infusions over a two year period due to damage from Black mold. Unfortunately they almost killed me. This has led to disability and multiple operations and multiple complications. I was once very strong, healthy and vibrant. Now I am broken, dying slowly and in pain. I used to be beautiful but unlike the most antiques, I can't be restored. I am poor but I can still remember joy. I live vicariously thought RU-vidrs videos and old movies. I cry from pain and get little help. Very little help. I will die with very few caring even though I filled everyones world with laughter. It is easy to turn away from people when they get sick...no one wants to be remind of their mortality. The story is long but trust me....WEAR PROTECTION WHILE DOING THIS TYPE OF WORK. For that matter any work that exposes you to chemicals, biologicals and particles you breathe in at ANY level of concentration. You can thank me after a longer, healthier life. Be kind to even the worst types of humans, we all struggle in many ways. It cost you nothing to smile and eve less to share a smile over the smallest joys. Love deeply, seek out how to be gentle and share what is needed, even if it is your last bite of food and another is hungry. Cry when you feel it coming because it is releasing pressure and pain. This will make it easier for you to do the next right thing. To those who reached this sentence, you get two Nana cookies and a gentle hug.
i love how not only u did spend a lot of time repairing but u kept the original character, as a viewer it looks old and antique but also very well protected, very unique way of restoring and very eye pleasing, some people doing it so much that it looks TOO brand new. well done.
Nice job BUT why didn't you wax the wood before assembly ? The wood needed feeding, all those joints will be prone to rot and breaking because they are brittle. Nice job though.
Thank you, my friend, the reason is an ancient technique, no one has noticed this carpentry technique, if you have noticed, the sides of the inner parts of the chest are curved with an ax, now I have a question for you, why did the carpenter at that time make this chest like this Made style? This is a special wood from a special tree You are absolutely right, thank you again...

You should note how deep the cracks are inside the wood. For shallow and shallow cracks that do not have a problem with the strength of the wood, we use instant or colorless glue, and for deep cracks, we use white wood glue or wooden joints.
