Restoration of the 300-Year-Old Spinning Wheel - FURNITURE RESTORATION - Wooden Joints with Water Restoring an Antique Spinning Wheel - Featuring Spirit Wood Spinning Wheel Restoration Part 1 - Disassembling the Wheel Antique spinning wheel restoration and more! How to clean an antique spinning wheel? The Beauty of Padise: Spinning Wheel Restoration Restoration of the 500-Year-Old Chest - FURNITURE RESTORATION restoring
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
Hello my good friends, this is a special restoration, these pieces were used for spinning wool and cotton in the past...
The piece that has the shape of a comb on top of it is called a comb to the head, and it is used to separate the wool and clean it. it prepares the wool for spinning,which is made of one piece of wood without nails and glue and iron rods are placed on it. It is all handmade and placed in it with a special elegance. The wood of this piece is from the sorkhdar tree (Taxus baccata) and the life of this piece is 300 years...
The next piece is the hand spinning machine called Tangol, which turns the wool into yarn. Our tengol is not that old, about 70 years old, and its wood (walnut) is joined together without glue or nails, with a simple structure, creating such a functional piece.
The next piece of the spinning wheel is used to spin wool, and its spinning speed is much higher than that of the Tangol, and it requires skill to work with it. The clever carpenter of our story made this wonderful piece without nails or glue, its connection is fixed with water, and if any part of this device is damaged for any reason, a person who has no knowledge of carpentry can change it. In this piece, Ores wood is mostly used, and over time it has been replaced with other woods, As you can see in the video, the middle piece of wood in the spinning wheel was made of walnut and wormwood, But the other parts of this piece, which was made of wood, were not damaged.I replaced it with another walnut wood.
This house is 1200 years old, which was destroyed three times for some reason, and the last reconstruction was 500 years ago. It is made of earth and wood. No one has lived in this house for about 40 years.My only wish is to restore this house.
Thank you for helping us by sharing and liking this video...

I enjoyed the video. At the end, as you demonstrated the tool at work, I couldn't help but see this as a single step in an episode of Connections where James Burke showed how the Spinning Wheel was a first step that lead to perfection of a re-breather used during the first Moon landing. The spinning wheel was such an important step. Seeing one restored -- one that actually worked for a living -- was fascinating.

a leaf from a corn cob goes over the end (like a cone) of the spindle (pointy stick) so when you wrap the yarn around the spindle it can be removed as one big ball of yarn for later dyeing or weaving. You did a good job

Great job restoring this wonderful tool. ))))) I've never seen a flax hackle used to untangle wool. It does work )) Less crush compression on your wool fluff will make the spinning easier. Are you sure there weren't oiled leather strip bearings in the axle openings? Ditto on the touch points of the main spindle of the wheel. Small "telephone spindle" (like for early dial phones) (( or pencil dowel )) works great where your finger gets blisters turning the axle crank. Check out later style Great Walking Wheels for the spindle backing. That makes a backstop for the yarn as you make it. Laying the yarn on the spindle in a cone formation makes it easier to get the finished yarn off the spindle. If the backstop and bearings were destroyed by age it makes sense that you did not find them with the wood parts. Talk to the oldest women in the area. Some may still be using this style of wheel or remember their Grandmothers spinning with this style. Spinning is a great mind restorer in the modern world.

@samuelfellows6923

@@CreativeIdeasMaker ~ 🤨, yes = for vacuum cleaning the dust and shavings afterwards, for woodturing itself; it is almost impossible to fit the shop-vac/dust extractor nozzle to the tool to directly suck the dust/shavings, and the shavings tend to spray off the end of the tool in different directions depending upon the angle of the tool on the “spinning” workpiece
@CreativeIdeasMaker
@CreativeIdeasMaker 11 дней назад
As you know, turning doesn't produce very fine dust like other woodworking tools like table saws, that's why most don't use vacuum cleaners, but there are devices that are mounted on the turning machine and collect all the dust inside. kills and on the other hand this work guarantees the safety and health of the operator

First impressions, mass produced trade goods decorated with a green background and red flowers, was in a flood as shown by the layer of dried mud, was heavily used and probably a prized possession, hence the obvious well turned parts that require a bit more than a rudimentary lathe and drill, had manufactured parts replaced by local sourced 'repair' parts as shown by the twigs used for pegs. The Hackle looks near 'factory fresh', as do the spindles.

This is exactly the case because in the past it did this because by pouring water on the male fittings, it caused the wood to expand, that is, the dry vessels swelled up and easily fixed in place. This is a technique for very old carpenters and is interesting and even applies to water structures such as old water mills.

@CreativeIdeasMaker

Exactly, you have understood correctly and we first produced the thread by a simple tool by turning it by hand and in the second method we used a spinning wheel, which was used as a hobby by the natives to produce thread in their free time

@CreativeIdeasMaker
@CreativeIdeasMaker 14 дней назад
Thanks for sharing your technical opinion. The point that is common in both spinning wooden tools is that they both use the ability to rotate. One rotates directly by hand, the second rotates by a wheel, and if you look carefully, this wheel is a type of gearbox that transfers hand power from a large gear to a small gear, as a result, the speed of the small gear is much higher and several times, and this makes the spindle We rotate faster and we feed the wool to this rotating spindle and we have to do this slowly and then you can turn all the wool into a strong thread.
@user-tq5lu1wp7e
@user-tq5lu1wp7e 14 дней назад

Spinning is a twisting technique to form yarn from fibers. The desired fiber is stretched, twisted and wound on a spool. A type of mechanical spinning was invented in the late 1700s and became one of the most important industries of the industrial revolution. But it should be kept in mind that such tools existed in every civilization, but in a different appearance and maybe even efficient.
