3:17 your hypothesis is wrong, from the very beginning you can see it's not red-black. What's more, if that was the case, the hosts would have noticed. I do not think you got the trick.

There would be no way to guarantee the 'red/black' order when cutting. You could easily grab it at a spot that leaves you with a red top card and a red bottom card. So...
I worked out how to do this trick and it is not a stacked deck. It's actually a lot simpler than that. He could of got them to shuffle the deck and maybe didn't so they would think its a stacked deck aswell and lead them in the wrong direction. I figured it out when watching it straight away.
I saw a magician do a similar trick with random volunteers and they weren’t sitting in chairs, they were standing freely. He also made them identify how they felt it, for example: they both felt a finger running down their right forearm, although he only did it to one of them. It still perplexes me!
I have been searching for a stacked deck and do not believe it is or a mesmerised deck so the easiest way to do this is simple, half the pack as a very subtle mark on the back and the trick is done using the black and red method described in this tutorial, he would need too count at what position the card out of place in the one pile is when he deals them out to know where both are although he was speaking while dealing which i am not sure if that is possible as i cant do that but without speaking a have duplicated it, also duplicated by creating a seemingly random stacked deck by pairing even low cards with odd high cards (above and below 6, black kings being odd) also worked well.
The true reveal would be if the masked dude was a pedophile and these were kids (low ball stuff I know but this video was trash so I’m trying to get a laugh). Stop with the probably and maybes in your patter. It’ll make the reveals more convincing (bc you’re not far off)
He has the deck memorized. After teller takes his card he flashes the next card 4:10 as he's staring at Allison. He now knows what cards penn and teller chose
easier solution... at time 4:10 he shows the 6 of clubs to the audience. Penn and Tellers cards were directly below that. by knowing that and the order of the cards, all that needs to happen is he needs to have some feed back from someone who saw that in the audience and all the rest is meaningless.

I think you're wrong: at 0:50 you can see that the cards are not stacked in a simple black/red order, BUT he doesn't shuffle the deck before letting Penn and Teller pick a card. This means that he could simply memorize the order of the cards in the deck, so that if he knows Penn's card he also knows Teller's card. How? simple: at 4:09 he can see the card that was on top of Penn's card.
Marc likes to use digital equipment and your right about the 1989 performance there is a digital clip board Marc uses which is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled so if you write on it a word or picture it transmits to a computer to reveal via software, to me I don't call that magic.. Also most often than not the judges and Ant & Dec are in on the performance as well not just Marc but others also..
Knowing how a trick works never makes me feel less impressed or amazed _except_ when it involves a plant. Idk I think there is a kind of unspoken pact when you watch tricks like these that nobody is helping the magician besides himself or any assistants he has on stage with him. Otherwise basically any trick can boil down to a plant. Pick a card trick? Your plant in the audience signaled you the card. Or the person who picked the card is a plant. etc etc. At that point the only real measure of ingenuity/skill would be whatever slight of hand is involved. So yeah, the forcing was actually very impressive. But the parts where he (probably) used plants is just disapointing.
There's no force or peek, and only half of the deck is memorized! When you see the full extension of the cards you can see that every odd card belongs to Mnemonica 0:39 (I think there's another card trapped between the 4 of clubs and the 2 of hearts, but you can see that every other card belongs to the stack up until the king of diamonds). So when it's dealt in two piles, one of them ends up in Mnemonica 8:59. So with that pile he can look for the odd card and also look for the missing one in the stack! You can check that where the 8 of hearts should be, there's an 8 of diamonds. It's very clever to only use half stack and obtain two informations. The dribble and the movement to simulate a peek are red herrings
Good explaining. Constructive criticism. Maybe show the clip real quick then go back and talk over it. Or try not to talk over the guys talking. I found myself wanting to hear the guy over you many times which made me a little irritated with your voice lol.
This is one of those things in magic/mentalism that makes the whole effect not make sense. For example if I knew what hand the coin is in “which I prove by pointing at the hand” then me using that as a random method of forcing is flawed. You have to choose to either predict which hand they put it in and that’s all or pretend to have no idea which hand it’s in and use it only as a force. Great performance and amazing performer but it’s the routine plot I have an issue with. Either using whatever method to find the hand the coin is in you need to play ignorant in this information so they’ll feel the choice of the animal is really there’s. You can even rewrite the memory in the recap reframing it. “So we asked everyone to name an animal. Out of those hundreds of animals you thought of two of those I then asked you to put a coin into one of your hands if it’s in the left hand you are thinking of a cat if in the right a cheetah. And you chose to put the coin in the left hand correct? “ they’ll agree. Now it’s not you knowing which hand and in the most basic sense saying “hey I can know which hand the coin is in like I have x-ray vision. Now put it in a hand so I can tell you which hand it’s in. Great now cat it’s in the hand that I know it’s in because I’m a mind reader or cheetah if the hand it’s not in because I’m a mind reader” . I love this performers work so nothing against him this is just an illogical flaw I see in SO many mentalism routines and on the lucky opportunities to consult with magic creators and creating effects of my own I strive to make everything make sense logically. And the easiest rule to follow is “am I influencing/seeing the future? Or am I reading someone’s mind/body language” and like all things sometimes that rule can be broken but there needs to be strong justification .
