The roads going to coast from derby derbyshire is a chuffing nightnare . The 30mph section is a joke . The motorway from j29 m1 north has not seeen roadworks as far back as i can remember. 3 lanes with speed cameras every 2 mile would have sorted it out instead of suicide 4 lanes.
Maybe you need a kayak or small boat not a bike. I remember when you could drive down and park at the point. A few more storms and it will be an island.
My electric mountain bike is being delivered on friday 🤣 got it to get to the end of the breakwater haha. Chances are i will never use it so you may get it for a bargain haha. You may need to adjust the seat first 😂😂😂
Should've waited for dead low water & fished the point anyway, even if you only get a couple of hours it might have been worth it. Also 'gel filled saddle covers' are worth their weight in gold when riding on rough surfaces. Look forward to your next session. 👍
I live in dwygyfylchi best place for bass is through the small tunnel on the cycle track as it's near the entrance for conwy and there's loads food for them there
Hi alex you ok pal. Nice one for the footage from spurn point. I do nearly all my sea fishing on my bike, but it is electric Lol ,I tie my rods one side n tripod n bivvy the other side of my frame. The tide pull can be crazy there aswell as you found. All the best Alex from G.Y.
Wow. Biking that looks hard work. Going back 30 years, I was a taxi driver and used to be able to drive that. Used to drive to the end of the point and pick the Humber Pilots up. And if the tides weren't playing ball and they couldn't get in we used to wait for them and get fed like Kings in the accommodation. Would sometimes be there a few hours waiting. Tight lines 🎣
Take a tip from someone who cycles everywhere fishing, 2 tips actually.....use velcro straps to strap your your and tripod to the top tube of the bike, and get an e bike 😉😏
Hi mate, as i don't drive i either get the bus or sometimes use my bike, i use a diawa 4 piece rod which is a godsend, i strap the rod with velcro just under the handlebars & under the seat, if im on sand i use a single extending rod rest which i tie in to my rod, was never much fun getting on a bus with a 2 piece 12ft rod! & i use a saber fishing bag put over the back( if on bike)so keeps me happy loads or room in them for all my gear, bait, food flask etc! Shame you didnt catch but happens to all of us at somepoint!! Take care

You should be like me Mr Grump, cos the only problem i have with push bikes is when they get trapped in the wheel arch of my car.😂 Think an E-bike with a gaming chair would be more my cuppa. You want a proper wide-ar$e saddle for comfort (Westlight Extra-Wide is the one I have!) for cycle-fishing. Velobin panniers for tackle, and a proper horizontal cross-bar to strap your rods to. Fun for holidays, and it does get you to marks you can't reach with four wheels. Long rods aren't fun though with the overhang, three-piece 12'-ish rods are best - ideally something that comes with a rigid tube for carrying. I use a 2-piece short-ish boat rod for one mark I cycle too, and it's a PITA due to the unequal lengths - transport length is as bad as a 3-piece 14' rod.
The amount of Bird watchers around are through it being the Autumn bird migration festival and held every year at Spurn and sometimes rare and scarce birds are blown over from Scandinavia and even further east. I was costal wildlife ranger for many years and it meant I could see the wildlife and enjoy my fishing on days off. It is still worth trying no matter the conditions and fingers crossed one day she will get her Tits out

Your fishing Pwllheli far too heavy it lends itself to much lighter gear true continental style 30 lb rig bodies 24'' 10 lb or less snoods all tied with fluro and size 6 circle hooks. I was fishing there myself just offshore in a boat you probably even filmed me, I caught an endless numbers of small bream.
😂 I know exactly where you were. Stunning spot, had some nice fish there. I have fished a lot with a 2-4oz rod and enjoyed every fish played. Good for float fishing and plugging too. Nice rod, looks a bit more supple than mine. 🧔 👍
Had a double figure Bass on my Majorcraft lure Rod along with many just below 10 so that will handle one no problem. Would be fun using that for Smoothies! Last Smoothie of mine was 10+lbs and never had my Fury 420 bend like that before haha.
@@theawfulangler Just got to wait for those conditions from the beach my mate and you'll get one. To be honest, crab isn't the holy grail bait for them, neither are prawns. Conditions are more important than bait choice.
