He was the leader of the country at a time of unbridled greed in the banking and property sector which eventually led to a catastrophic financial collapse even by international standards of the time. The resulting austerity is being felt by the vast majority of citizens to this very day.
I once showed this to my parents, who grew up in the 1960s. It obviously rang true because they were so angry. They leapt to the defence of the church and FF and FG. The hypocrisy runs deep.

Interesting, but very male dominated, the mother got her fed up view's across, the only femail in the newspaper discussion had no voice at all, no nun's view,or any professional ,nurse or artist,writer singer,musician, Dr ,even at the end a load of running school boys, how sad is that,also no actress to be heard 😮
