A Fine art Photographer and a Distance Skater. It took quite a hard way to learn about life & start something of my own .. I was also learning about the hurdles one would have when sticking to his passion.. after all that & as an ongoing process.... Here I'm creating videos on skating & Fine art photography , as vlogs on public interest. I seriously didn't worry about number of views & subscribers .. like I did at the beginning.. Hope you guys find it helpful :)
I was following the map created in OCT 2017. Please watch the Interview with Mr. Punit Sparc Chabra, where we discuss the new corrections to the route when you reach the Time Square near W 48ᵗʰ street. Thanks. 🙏🕊
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽 My favourite is a raked Caliber 3 truck 👌🏽 btw, reversin the hanger on a Raked truck changes Positive rake to Negative rake, it does Not change the angle, it does feel more stable though as negative rake changes how it turns. Only way to change angle is change baseplate to a different angle. I love 50 degree front and 44 degree rear truck, split angle setup 👌🏽 RKP is designed for high speed stability, great for longer wheelbases and downhill. TKP is more so for tricks, more turny for shorter wheelbases, less stable downhill.
Guy with the melon helmet , blue jacket and stylish trouser at 10:44 is "El Marzo" Ralf Merz, the guy in the red shirt next to ralf in the group icture is not Eric de Norman , it's Erik Paikert.
I wish I had this before I skated it in 2012. I'm not saying I would have won but I definitely passed the leaders like 3 or 4 times before getting lost
By 2012, I didn't know anything about longboarding or long-distance skating. I'm very grateful for the distance skating community and what I'm trying to give back. Thank you so much, Sir! 🙏🕊️
Thank you very much for the time and effort that you put into these instructions. Very much appreciated. Also, thank you for the link to the manual. Also very handy.
Hlo sir . How is it now , i want to buy .and sir , is it possible to change all the bearing if i needed later. .. (i wnt to install shimano's hub's & BB ) . . Hope ur words back ❤
Hi. I Recently Ordered a Revin Fixie and expecting for its arrival in few days. Your videos were really helpful when deciding which bike to get. You are doing great, please keep uploading videos like these!
Hi Krishnan, thanks for this review. Just a few pointers, UK ultraskate is a full 24hr ultraskate. You also sent me a number of questions, so here are my answers 1. Timing system used is Check Point Software Technologies 2. Each skater has their own strategy when it comes to food choices. Some use gels and others use tailwinds. But we provide bananas and a small snack to each participants throughout the race. The table is setup in a pitstop area. 3. Most of the competitors were using bracket boards. we had someone skating a pantheon supersonic. 4. Weather was fantastic throughout the race. Cloudy with some sunshine. There was some rain in the last 1.5hrs before the end. The sun did come out in the last hour. The killer is the humidity. Thanks for the passion ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this! Great analysis. Let me add on some info as a participant: The humidity was one of the bigger fights for us during this race. Edit: it was 93% humidity in the earlier parts of the race. Personally I required almost 1.5L of water per hour and I could barely get those liquids absorbed. there was a 30min shower on hour 3. It stayed cloudy till hour 5 and sun was right on us for the last hour. headwind picked up on the back straight on the last 2 hours. I'm guessing 15-20kph winds. First 2 hours the winds weren't bad. the first 5 hours weather condition is considered forgiving in Singapore. hour 6 was hot and probably feels like 38º and is considered normal for a typical afternoon. There were hotter days. but nevertheless, its not a good experience to skate on hour 6. The men's winner, (nickname GouGou) was sipping on gels every 20-30mins on top of liquids. It's quite a sight to behold when you see him pumping at 33-35kph. his rear truck was set to -35º and front trucks have a crazy 15mm rake and sitting on a chopped platform. He was rolling on Orange Dad Bods. He could push and pump switch. He jumps 180º at speed to change his stance from regular to goofy.
Thank you so much for sharing your true experience 🙏🕊️. I'd love to interview you, to talk about the Asia Ultraskate 2024 Singapore Edition 🙏🕊️ It could be useful to many, Please do let me know 🙏🕊️ Hope you recover well Sir 🙏🕊️ Enjoy the rest of your day 😊🙏🕊️
My Compass 700 x 23c tires performed well for 700 kilometers! They could have lasted even longer, but I opted for solid tires. The Revin Fixie now comes with a different brand of 700 x 28c tires. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance I got out of my Compass tires.
You're the first and only one I found mounting a waterborne on a pumping bracket board! You have any comparison without the adapter, but a dedicated pumping front truck? Would love to know what difference it makes. Nice frankenstein board btw.
Unfortunately I couldn't build a bracketed pumping board from where I live...The trucks were just expensive. :) & I wasn't ready to endure more stress to build an another board like this :) Keeping my fingers crossed , that I would do it some day :) Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it Sir :)
Nice to see you having a new setup! A sheet of "foam" griptape will greatly improve handling and accelerate your progression. The next step to consider would be a set of bearing wheels which will make your ride feel more smooth and effortless. And you really don't need to explain yourself - I'm 37 and I'm enjoying it as well.. 😅 I subscribed - greetings from Berlin!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful suggestions and the subscription! I really appreciate the advice on the foam griptape and bearing wheels. It's great to connect with fellow fingerboard enthusiasts, no matter the age. Thinking of some DIY obstacles. :) Have a wonderful year Sir :) Greetings from Srirangam, India :)
God bless you brother for the effort taken. Decathlon is something good which can happen to some sports loving City or town, nice it has happened to Trichy too.
Interesting stuff Krishnan, had no idea about footpods before watching. Might stick to RPE and HR for now, but the technology you scouted is definitely something to look out for!
Very kind of you Sir 🙏🕊. I should've learnt more about RPE's too :) At the time I made this video, I wasn't that knowledgeable about how I should work with Heart rate sensor and RPE - Rated Perceived Exertion. :) I remember seeing Easy, Moderate & Hard on Strava, that's about it. I saw Mr. Rick Pronk who is a pioneer in Distance skating world talk about HR zones. That's when I learnt the use of it and by that time my video was already uploaded. If possible I'll try to recall this video & talk about RPE in any of my future content :) Thank you so much Sir :) Happy Weekend :)
