I create my content in 1080p resolution at 30fps.
Initially, I used a DJI Osmo for indoor content creation. The high bitrate and lossless audio resulted in larger file sizes.
Secondly, I used to GoPro Hero 7 Black for outdoor content. The moderate bitrate kept file sizes manageable.
As I started doing more photo walks, the combined storage needs of edited photos and videos quickly outgrew my hard drives. Upgrading from a 4TB HDD to a 5TB HDD became an annual necessity.
To conserve space, I limited my photo walks (since HDDs weren't exactly cheap). These days, I shoot most indoor videos with my Xiaomi PocoF1 phone to save space.
Currently, I dedicate 3TB of storage to RU-vid content and 2TB to photography content each year.
