That dad, He came across as one of those "real men don't cry or show emotion" and "therapy is for the weak" It's a shame, because his son needs to be able to heal mentally and he's living in fight or flight mode 24/7... I kind of, sort of understand that he is trying to not let his son's fear debilitate him and him run away from the fear he has... but I think he most definitely should move with his boy so he can start to heal. It doesn't make him weak, dad. Heal your boy
Talk about a mothers strength and intuition. To try and carry her daughter out immediately after being awoken from a sound sleep. Incredible. The response time it takes for your brain to realize what the heck is going on and in a split second make the decision to run. Its a shame they lost the husband/dad. So many lost their lives... I cant say that I didn't think about this last year during my family vacation as we were located on the 33rd floor of the condo we were staying in. The day we were leaving there was a bad storm and the power went out. My husband and our 10 yr old son have never been packed so quickly before. I prayed the whole way down that we and everyone else would be safe. The pool tiles were scattered, the pool furniture was gone... and that was just from a storm. I can't imagine the horror and fear these people felt.
I’m genuinely confounded by how idiotic some of these comments are too, I can understand that we all have these different perspectives and point of views but it seems to be the best choice so choose the most logical answer, with some hard, concrete evidence. Change my mind. (I’m hard - headed)
That’s what happens as well when you start taking people that are innocent out of their cars just to talk to them. They can be better protected inside their car.
I'm a truck driver of just over 25 years back when I first started driving a semi truck I has told back then to move over if any vehicle is in the right shoulder or left shoulder or if can't move over slow down to a safe speed I live in Alabama just west of Columbus,GA
It seems a big deal because it's on the news. It is a big deal though, no matter what YOU think. Just because it doesn't affect you directly doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken seriously. Gross.
I don't Understand the Move over Law. if on the Shoulder of a Highway it is an Accident or somebody that is Broke down. And you Traveling in the so Call Move over. and You can't Moves over to the other lanes because other Cars passing you beside you do this mean you have to Hit them and course a big Accident is this what this New Law Call for it. But you can still pass the first Responders beside them at 10 20 Mile An Hour But you can still get a Ticket for passing them Close by even very Slowly that what I'm worry about this a chance for the State to make a lot of money out of this. As a Handicap Driver that I'm Responsible one. when I see Flashing Lights I try to move to the other lane as soon I can to avoid this But what about if you can't avoid it. Maybe I Stop and Signal people to other drivers to let me in the Inner Lane to avoid getting ticketed But that if they Let you In.

FIRST OF ALL. All you law enforcement officers think you own the road and also drive recklessly. You know who you are. ALSO when you pull over someone learn how to park safely. It’s the reason these accidents happen it’s because of this very fact. Set up cones, flares ect,. Don’t be lazy.
