How long have you been using minoxidil I’m at 14 months now I see places getting better I had no hair on chin it’s doing well the sides of chin grow well but won’t close in middle do you use the dermaroller? And please how long I’m thinking trying to go for 3 years
I am currently in the end of Month 34, almost 3 years. I highly recommend dermarolling. The dermapen is a time-saver and the variable depth helps a lot too. Dermarolling really boosted my beard growth and I have been using it since Month 3.
Great journey sir! A few questions. 1. DId you stop using Minoxidil after a year and a half ? if so did you lose any of your gains ? 2. Did you notice any hair shedding on your scalp ? If so did it come back when you stopped ?
1) I am still taking Minoxidil, aiming for the 3 year mark. For the last 6 months I have been ramping down my usage, I am now down to 1-2x a week. No losses yet. 2) I noticed some hair shedding early on, but my hairline has not receded much at all in the 3 years even though I do not apply Minoxidil to my scalp directly. Shedding for the beard happens every 6 months and is scary, you feel like you regress but then it comes back fuller. Stay Strong Beard Brother 💪

Hello! The first year I shaved once a week with a razor. After I trimmed to 4mm until it got denser then to 6mm, then to 9mm. Usually trimmed every two weeks, which is what I do now too. Stay Strong Beard Brother 💪

Im currently at the 3rd month now and see it grows quite well. So instead of shaving down all the way like you everyweek, Imma just trim it to 3-4mm every week or 2, what you think?

I had a heavy heartbeat on minoxidil. I thought it was my diet (I’m cutting to lose weight). I ate more, didn’t fix it. Then I removed some of my caffeine intake, didn’t fix it. Tried sleeping earlier, nothing. When I stopped the minoxidil my palpitations went away. I guess I gotta keep the beard I have and mentally prepare for loss
The heart palpitations is definitely caused by the Minoxidil. They are scary, but they do stop happening after 1 to 2 months. But listen to your body. You can also try dermarolling as that also boosted my beard a lot. Stay Strong Beard Brother 💪
@@monkybeard I had to drop the minox unfortunately, even though it was a god send and cheap alternative to jaw surgery (got a weak chin). I have bad ADHD and basically need caffeine to function. Giving up coffee made me morbidly depressed for a bit, I’m happier with caffeine back in my life. I’ll probably take half the dosage after a month or 2 break since I used it on my beard a few years ago with almost no issues besides occasional dizziness. But yeah I’ll take a hyperdopaminergic state for my ADHD brain over good looks, but losing my looks (beard) is sad.
@@Colehike I would definitely try dermarolling and maybe some avocado oil and peppermint oil. A lot lower chance for side effects and could still help you get a beard!
I am from Cambodia, I am a new subscriber, After 3 years of off and on trying to grow a beard with Minoxidal, I finally got myself a Goat T. You look really different when you have a Goat T or beard. I am not gay but I can tell you that you look more attractive than when you don't have a beard. My girlfriend complained when I only have a Phou Men Chou, she kept on telling me that she does not like it and it feels awful when caress her skin but when I got a Goat T, she turned 180 degrees and told me that I look really handsome with it and the funny thing is when I kiss her with my Goat T, she does not complain anymore. How weird is that, what I can get out of it is that when I was trying to grow a Goat T and I only got a phou Man chou, girls react to it differently, like my girl, she emotionally said how she feels, but that emotionally feeling change when my phou man chou turned into a full Goat T. And believe me bro, she is now more into me than before, how weird is that? I mean before she was and still is my girlfriend but the attraction was more of me trying to sim her. The Goat T turned that around without me trying so hard. My girl simply wants me more than before. Even sex is 3 to 4 times a week, and I don't have to ask my girlfriend out anymore, she wants to see me 3 to 4 times a week also. Before it was once a week. I am amaze how hair on my face, i mean the right set of hair on my face not phou man chou but a beard can make a huge impact on my social life and love life. I feel more like I am the prize. my side effect is more off the constant itching but now I figure out a way of using minoxidal without having the itch. I got myself a derma pen.

Did you shave at all ? Seems like you trimmed a bit every 7 or so pics . I’m only 2 weeks in I’m scared that if I shave one day it’ll cut all my progress . Especially the vellus hairs I can only see in the light .

Hey there I’m planing to get a derma roller to use with my minoxidil. And I’m not too sure which one to get. Atm I don’t have much of a beard and the derma roller I’m looking at says it features 540 0.5 mm needles, and I just wondering is that still good to use? Kind regards 🙏
amzn.to/470G2Lj This is a more upgraded version I use as mine is nearly 3 years old. It is also cheaper than when I paid for it. If you plan on doing the full journey it is well worth the investment. I would recommend 0.5mm to start and don't go any higher than 1.0mm. That range is the sweet spot for beard growth.

@@user-ds2pn1oz1h anything above 1.0 is more for healing scarring and wrinkles. I tried 1.5mm to 2.0mm for about a year and I think it might have slowed my progress. When I went back to 1.0mm 6 months ago, my beard growth started accelerating again.

Almost entering month 3 and the gains are definitely coming but they're feel so slow and my skin is suffering. It doesn't help that my hair is light so all my gains are practically invisible before the hairs become terminal, but your results motivate me to keep sticking to it. I trim about every two weeks now. In the early days I shaved once a week. You want to keep it shorter so the Minoxidil can absorb in your skin, but you do not need to shave if you like some stubble and you will if you are doing this journey
Hello MB, I just started my beard journey last week. I noticed that my minoxidil does not crystalize and I experience no side effects. Do you think its a fake serum?
Mine is foam so I did not notice any crystallization. I think the best way to know is to either get a name brand like I did. The other way is to try for a month and see if you notice any vellus hairs growing. If you do then you got real stuff. Stay Strong Beard Brother

@@JohnPaul-wn6xh Up to you, for best results I do it everyday at least once. Either after dermaroll or Minoxidil. Just a tiny amount is needed. It should not feel tacky on your skin as it does not really dry.
You normally dermaroll or do derma stamping right twice a week, how long do you wait before applying minox again? Do you wait 24hours after rolling/stamping or do you immidiately apply minox after?
Good question, I dermaroll twice a week, and will usually wait 12 to 24 hours before applying Minoxidil. If it feels like it burns when you put on Minoxidil, you applied it too soon. Nothing terrible will happen unless you make it a habit. It will possibly increase the amount of side effects you have if you apply too soon often. Stay Strong Beard Brother!

Headaches are normal, just keep tabs on it. They should go away after a couple weeks. Make sure to increase your water intake as it does dry you out. Stay Strong Beard Brother!

I’ve being following you for almost a year now. Bravo, bro!!! Your videos are extremely helpful, except one year in, my minoxidil + retinoid regiment hasn’t generated great results yet. Sure, I do see some vellus hair growing, but that’s all. Does it mean I’m actually genetically predisposed not to grow beard? Or should I continue my regiment until I see the ideal results, provided I can actually see them, in, say, three or more years? I’m right now a bit indecisive. Hope you can share with me your insights, thanks, bro!
