Scott Weiland was the singer, hes not in the band anymore, hes the singer for Stone Temple Pilots too, (i saw STP today actually) His first band was STP (oh and just a general thing) Im not sure why this happened but today STP started 2 hrs after they were supposed to, due to something Weiland did, not sure what
the new album is great. weiland even revisits his 'core'-era voice late in the record. i only bought it recently cause i wasn't crazy about the first single but it's a grower
I like the band and I'm a die hard of all these members. I got the second cd and it wasn't bad. It was more 'mature' sounding. Alot more blusey as well. I loved Contraband and the new cd was pretty cool, but I don't think there's anyone who can disagree that they could be better than they are. It's not bad, but I guess since they've gotton older, the energy isn't as HIGH as it used to be. Maybe it's just me, but I doubt it.
Duff McKagan is the bassist and Matt Sorum is the drummer who are also from GnR, Scott Weiland is the singer who's from Stone Temple Pilots, and Dave Kushner, who's the rhythm guitarist from Wasted Youth.
