Thank you for compiling this. Terence had his quirks, as we all do. He wasn’t the smartest guy to ever live, not the best in math or physics or science or history ad nauseum… and some of his ideas were a little off the mark… but…. BUT…. His raw intellectual curiosity surpasses anyone I’ve ever read or heard. 🙏
I have spent years listening to these Terence McKenna Shorts over and over, but lately I have started to spend a lot more time actually watching the videos, the visuals are deeply moving, they really do help to take our mind out of the noisy present and into a quiet place where we really can be close to Terence.
The reason why empires haven’t been built around it is because they are already built around it! It is the causal body. Ignorance. The light out of which this building blocks of space time comes is I pure consciousness. None of this is new. It’s just matter.
The one being that is the light existence shining as consciousness awareness or pure experience if you prefer is shining upon causal matter or mind/God. Now DMT is a potent way of entering the subtlest layers of our being that is the beginning of what Vedanta calls Maya or beautiful intelligent ignorance because as soon as the one without a second appears as two or more then it appears to multiply just like Terrence says metamorphosis is a good way of putting it however none of it is true or real even if it is how worlds are ultimately made. Worlds are not the reality. Reality is the light. Imagine a light bulb so massive that it can contain trillions of universes millions the times of the size of the one we as people appear in this light is it’s own self generating power and needs no other source and to it - the Self - the causal subtle and material worlds are a grain of sand, this is what we really are not this trippy stuff Terrence is talking about. It’s a question of maturity do I want freedom from change or do I want to discover more and more nothing?
We’re not trapped at all ever. Beliefs and opinions alone tie us to the ground of the senses. The causal realm or body is what DMT reveals and it is beautiful intelligent ignorance. Pure consciousness the changeless light is shining upon causal matter or mind and from there we get these metamorphic objects in a state of seedling flux the elves he mentioned and on to the material world of our senses. Machine Elves are Terence McKennas experience of DMT. No two DMT experiences will be the same. Everyone has a unique experience so expecting something you have heard off another persons DMT trip is unrealistic and not gunna happen
I am a very skeptical person and where as some people look to DMT for an answer to after life i just think its all mixed up stuff in your subconscious like your dreams. Who knows i mite be wrong thats just my theory . One thing i do find very hard to explain though is why out of a million things different people can see is why most of us report the same sightings 🤯🤔
