"Love is what waits beyond abandoning the search for closure" the most beautiful, spot on, timely talk ever! We are all in shamans. Love this guy always speaking truth
"The felt presence of immediate experience. This is sufficient. It's hard for us, armoured as we are and defocused from the moment as we are by our previous imbibing of toxic cultural values, occasionally we touch this."
@Caiuá Moreira I was a militant atheist, ketamine infusions put me face to face with the true reality beyond my limited material senses. Then the Mashroom was just a confirmation 👍 it has been 3 years, and I'm still unable to fathom or comprehend what I saw.
Terence was a prophet. Timeless. Discovered him back in the late 90s..incredible to hear his voice ringing in our reality. Those that are here..we are blessed!
I mean, it could be, not solving a murder mystery could very much be a problem. But not knowing where we’ll be as a society from 100,000 fits into this ‘non-problem’ category.
"A mature, civilized being lives without closure, without the closure provided by Freudianism, Marxism, Buddhism, Positivism, Capitalism, Zen, The Hopi Prophecies, The Teaching Of The Arcturians, or anything else. Living without closure is honest living, and it's uncomfortable because there is something about the anal retentive mind that we want to button it down and say it's this or it's that, with no sense of irony, no sense of scale, no tongue-in-cheek approach at all. I think that corporate capitalism and object fetishism, which seem to be two human traits that cross fertilize each other, are run on anxiety, and that this anxiety trivializes what it is to be human, and that all of Nature waits upon human beings to awake from the delusion of history and to re-embrace the living processes that nature represents."
So basically return to monkey? Re-embracing the living process seems kind of hard to define as we’ve been living and this is what we’re going through at the moment. I think it’s wise though to always consider alternatives and be ready for the best or worst to come from our dabbles in understanding and controlling the world around us.
I love this man. He has taught me so much about life and how to embrace being. Simply just existing and flowing with the continuity of life. It’s so beautiful. On the bus getting slightly emotional haha
He was too ahead of his time that he failed to realize when a human reaches this level of understanding and wisdom and experience they are at the end of the dualistic journey in the 3rd/4th dimensions of time and space thus his early departure. He was one step in the other door and left us with the conclusions of his journey into his way of reaching the end of the journey. "The fast track" to enlightenment.
@@tmkredpillonlyGreen7 Oh , so the OP is a christian zealot. Ok. So, Is there an issue with directness here ? Will it get comments shadow banned or something ?
This is incredibly vital information, especially the first 4 minutes. Makes me feel waaay more comfortable with my experiences with mushrooms, and more confident about doing more large doses. Thanks for the upload.
I feel so much gratitude that I can receive these words. To carry then on, beyond the point of becoming and spark in those the fire to be. 🔥❤️ Thank you Terrence McKenna
I feel this one innately. I may have to write down bits of the last part to be spoken or written when I die. We are getting back to nature in pockets. Last night I found a green burial preserve in my city, and I’ll be making plans with my children for it. 🌿✨
We are moving as a collective towards inclusiveness, singularity, oneness in self and with all matter. A raising of our vibration to our Source our higher selfs higher cosmic consciousness. Love beyond lust our home as eternal beings.
"The core of being is pure contradiction. Life is death. Death is life. The past is the future. The present is eternity. and comprehending this is not to become some kind of 'ivory tower' intellectual. Comprehending this is is to move past intellectual concepts, to actually embrace love. Love is what waits beyond abandoning the search for closure. Love is not closure. Love is challenge, emotion: Being, in the purest sense. This is the realm of becoming, and it is always striving and it is always incomplete. Love is the realm of true being. And it lies beyond the prison of culture. It lies beyond the prison of ideology. Beyond the prison of self-defined limitations."
Although "no-one is in a position to claim leadership", and that's true, I momentarily ascribe just enough leadership to Terence M. to wonder what he'd have to say about 'deep dream' computer-aided artwork, such as that towards the end of this video; I think that he'd be very much into it (paraphrasing: "we must turn the art dial up to 11"), and that, using half his own terms and half theirs, he may quip something like "with the neighborly virtuosity that is found in all of us, even the slash-and-burn machinery of post-modern culture and capitalism can be tricked into coming up with beauty in a way that the anxious inventor never originally intended or imagined, and this is a fine way forward". Hear! Hear! ❤️👽
17:30 The truth is so ephemeral sometimes, but I think it's hard to come closer than what he says at the end with the implicit Heraclitus (Being vs. Becoming) reference about our world being in the realm of becoming and always striving and incomplete, reaching towards attainment of true being that exists in the realm of love beyond all conceivable boundaries

Our big brains are part of top 10% of smart people on this earth. If we talk about smart ideas, we can make things better for others. This is important. Now, there's two ways we can go: we can become a group of silly followers or we can keep being smart and do things our own way. Following others is silly. No one knows better than you. If you think someone else knows better, think again. Everyone has their own ideas and no one should be the boss. People who say they know everything are not to be trusted. Life is a mystery and can't be solved by anyone. Love is what's really important, not trying to understand everything. Love is about being good and doing what's right, not about following others. Love is bigger than anything else.
please check out Dennis McKenna's film BIOGNOSIS and all of the talks from his ESPD55 conference last year, more people need to hear these new talks for real! Rupert Sheldrake is still putting out content as well!
Brilliant. Would've rather heard the words and music completely separate tho as when combined I can't hear either properly. And hearing Terence was the point. Nice track tho.
I've observed that aboriginal cultures that have embraced psychedelics often fit harmoniously into the natural environment. Whereas cultures who demonize these psychedelics shape nature to fit their own desires.
Interestingly though, I believe Aztecs consumed ceremonial psychedelics and it didn't stop them from performing human sacrifices. It's the only inconsistency I can think of regarding these edifying ideas. I'd like to hear an academic like Rupert Sheldrake share his thoughts on this notion that psychedelics pacify.
The author argues that corporate capitalism and object fetishism, which are driven by anxiety, trivialize what it means to be human. He believes that psychedelics, meditation, and other spiritual practices can help individuals reconnect with the present moment and experience a sense of stillness and connectedness to nature. The author believes that human beings have wandered away from their connection to the living processes of nature and that the current cultural values have put the world in a precarious place. The author believes that it is important for individuals to embrace the mystery of life and not rely on a single leader or cult to provide answers, as each person has a unique perspective. :)
