In 2021, we decided to leave the US and move to Europe (Athens, Greece 🇬🇷)
Maria was born in the US 🇺🇸 to a Greek-American mom and a Greek dad, she was raised in Greece (6 mo. - 14 years old). At 14 she moved back to the US where she spent the next 14 years between Chicago and Los Angeles.
Olivia was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan 🇺🇸 to an English 🇬🇧 mom and an American dad 🇺🇸. She quickly realized her passion for travel and so at 19 she decided to au pair in Rome, Italy. That was it, she knew that one day she wanted to live in Europe. In 2019 Maria and Olivia met, and two years later they left the 9-5 lifestyle. Maria sold her financial advisor business, and with those proceeds and Olivia’s savings, they moved to Europe to travel.
When the savings ran out, they became freelancers. Maria works in finance and Olivia is a writer. Every penny they make goes to basics and travel. Be patient with our irregular posting schedule until we make RU-vid our full-time job 😊✈️
Hi Maria and Olivia.. you girls look fantastic! (Best way to find the best piece of Korea is when you get sick and experience medical service anywhere at the local hospital..;) Enjoy and safe travel here. 💕
A large number of American brands or products do not mean that "Koreans were culturally subordinated to the United States." The only country they interact with the most is the United States. Korea has a history of 5,000 years of civilization. Korea has taught Japan politics and culture for thousands of years, with the current king of Japan also from Baekje, an ancient Korean country You shouldn't think of Korean culture and history as a subclass of Japan or the United States, just because they went through the colony in 1905-1945.
There are many things that foreigners misunderstand about the relationship between Korea and Japan. First of all, from thousands of years ago, Korea was in a dominant cultural and political position in Japan. Then, in the early 1900s, that position temporarily changed. This was a huge shock to Koreans, a shock to Japan, which always called and despised as "small people."
The popping swollen 40 years from the '50s to '90s, out of long history in East Asia, were only the periods Japan was more prosperous than Korea, the period when huge American capitals poured into Japan thanks to Korean war. Both countries are now returning to the original level of where they were... and will continue!
The bakery looks absolutely amazing and seemingly offers so many options. I'm not a big fan of BBQ as I don't eat meat and I don't eat anything that even touches meat. I do love vegetarian gyoza.
I’ve never tasted Korean food but it looks fabulous,, those pastries though 👌 I’d have to hit a Korean gym haha I wouldn’t stop eating. Olivia with the alcohol haha classic, I love pickled anything so those peanuts would be for me 😋😋😋😋 Maria with the chorro hahaha you two are funny, great video ladies it looks like you’re both having a blast ✌️✌️
Thank you so much! Such a beautiful place with great food and beer! Ah, I'm jealous you were there in the summer! It must be even better 😍 Where are you going next?
Is visiting korea worth it? Well lets be honest, everything is overpriced in korea except public transportation. Do people travel overseas by spending lots of money to enjoy transportation? No way. Considering price, there is no much things to see and enjoy. Thats why so many koreans try to go abroad because they know that situation.
Someone else may have pointed it out, but the "soldier" is a statue of His Majesty King Haakon VII of Norway, who stood against the Nazi occupiers during the war

by Japanese aggression --- Many of Korea's relics and relics are reportedly in Japan, and thousands have been looted and stored in the basement of the Japanese empire, but the Japanese government says it cannot return them because there are many rare items. Next, the United States and France have many. (It is known to be kept private in the basement of the museum.)

As a Korean, this is my favorite Seoul travel vlog. I think what makes your videos more interesting is the places you visited are even young Koreans also want to visit and like. It's a wonderful itinerary that combines trendiness and tradition. Hope you had a great time in Korea <3
Thank you! What a kind and thoughtful comment! We’re so happy to hear that we’re glad that it is useful for Koreans, as well. Hope you’re satisfied with the rest of our Korea series as well ❤️
Seoul is large enough that you can see many places and experience many different things while traveling by subway. It is a city so big that you cannot see everything in a short period of time. Public transportation is developed in Seoul, so you do not need to take a taxi.
