For anyone thinking "man ill never be able to afford either of these amps..." I just got a Ceriatone JM50.. and I watched this video and tweaked the knobs, wow it sounds IDENITCAL to the Two Rock Clean. There is literally no difference, throw a katana clean boost in with it and you have his exact tone. The JM50 goes for $2,000 WITH middle, bass, and bright mods. They are handwired and made to order. Go check them out if you want this tone on a "budget"
I'm the proud owner of one of these - it is a superb guitar. Nice melodic demo - could have added the out of phase position using the coil tap? It sounds Strat-ish. Of all the solid body guitars I've played this guitar has the nicest neck, in my opinion.
I’m 78 now having played for the better part of 65 years. Started out with a 64 Telecaster similar to Jake’s. It is so nice to see young musicians such as Jake and John Cordy play with such touch and feeling.
@@JakeLoosemore Keep up the hard work. Growing up in Toronto and while in high school in the 60s, I worked weekends at Toronto’s largest music store. Right in the heart of the bar scene. Great experience. But there was a jazz player from Toronto you may have heard of. Ed Bickert. His effortless and soulful phrasings caught my ear even when the Beatles were taking over the airwaves. I’m hoping that more young players take a listen to some of the old masters and incorporate that touch in their playing. Cheers.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EUkPbcXkS_E.htmlsi=e_Yw6QfOMpYNEZ44. Here is a Canadian guitarist you might be interested in Jake. Andy has been around for years and was a promotional artist for Godin guitars. All that aside, he offers some pretty cool takes on a numerous styles of guitar.
@@JakeLoosemore Have you tried the 6550 offering? If so…any info you could provide between the two flavors would be greatly appreciated. These damn things are so pricy. Very difficult purchase for must of us living too far from a TR retailer to try out in person.
How do they feel? It seems like the JM is more saggy and bouncy vs a direct TC. I really think 1 cap change for the bass in the tone stack can get the TC more boomy. I also think the contour knob vs presense is more useful.
Thanks man!! Honest answer is that I haven’t kept any of them - I did have the SSS for 3 years though but had to sell it recently sadly. SSS beats them all for me!
@@JakeLoosemore Awesome mate! They all have their own thing but the SSS sounds especially good in your hands. What amp did you end up landing on after the Two Rock journey? Thanks for your reply.
@@JakeLoosemore I've watched a lot of videos of guys playing two-rock amps (I think the SSS is my favorite, but there are precious few videos of people playing it), but you really make it sing. Thank you for sharing your talent and tones with us!
@@trevorjohnson8142 Check out amplified nations version of it too. Great amp. Amp. nations is based on the no. 5 model which was the one Eric Johnson had at one time. Apparently Santana loaned it to the owner of Amp. Nation to examine it.
Comon it’s such a short delay does it even matter. Couldn’t even a joyo do the same job? He just picked aquapuss because of the name. Not because of some magical tone chip.
nice job. Thanks for playing this with some balls and attacking the strings. Everyone tends to demo two -rocks with low volume recycled JM licks, or stuff that sounds like they are playing a meditation in their bedroom on Sunday morning. Great tone.
