I’m a full time shoe cobbler, which means I fix shoes, bags, wallets and other leather goods. My goal is to take old, used shoes and bring them back to their former glory, and back into this world. There’s really no limit to what I can fix so send me a picture with a description of what you’d like and I’ll do my best to help.
You can contact me about a repair you have through my Instagram @shoe.man02 Or send me an email at Shoemanwithcustomcreations@gmail.com Or Call my business at (559)-733-4004 and ask for Oliver
And as always have a beautiful day and God bless y’all.
@@zombis89fisto so you could Blake Stitch a Stitchdown shoe but it’s not necessary because the soles are stitched to the uppers already. The only difference between a Blake Stitch & a Rapid Blake Stitched shoe is that the soles are outsole stitched whereas a Blake stitched shoe is only stitched from the inside. So it is possible to convert a Blake Stitch to a Rapid Blake Stitch.
Couldn't the customer just have rubber sole protectors added to the existing leather soles, especially since these boots are new? Get the same grip but at less cost?
@@michaelgarretson5519 I’m actually working on a personal pair of Lucchese Boots where I’m relasting them from a square toe to a round toe, and I’ll be putting a leather midsole on those.
i can tell you love your craft. you make some very informative and easy to watch videos. awesome work dude. ill def be reaching out for some work down the road. also, i too love blackrock! It's so good!
Awesome job! When growing up, my neighbor was a cobbler. His son and I were best of friends and I always wondered why he had $$$$. I took for granted the skill involved.... Where are you located?
@@mwilliamshs unfortunately I cannot film every little detail. All I did was use a little bit of Angelus Acrylic Leather Dye as a base coat, and then used a matching shoe cream after it dried
@@marllelymadrid6899 oh awesome not too far if you were wanting to make a road trip to Nashville 😀. Our email address is : shoemanwithcustomcreations@gmail.com Or if it’s easier you can text us at (559)7334004
*You're doing awesome for a young cobbler! Especially with the attention to detail, for the areas that really needed help. The boots look amazing! It's great how long they lasted!*
@@siruspietroski776 so base price for my JR soles and dovetail heels are $225. @@bilboplayedminecraft3322 I once bought out a repair shop that was closing down and they had a few Double H soles. I have no clue how they got them, but I’m sure I could get them again if you wanted
@@Theshoeman02 sure if you ever came across any that would fit 11.5 2e wide I'd be happy to buy em their ICE outsoles really help at my work. Do you got a website?
@@Theshoeman02hey man I don’t want you to give up your secrets I know this is your lively hood but can you recommend anywhere to buy JR soles? Like if someone wanted to pursue trying this out for themselves.
@@siruspietroski776 hey man no worries. There are a few shoe repair supply businesses I order from. I believe you have to open a wholesale account with the but they are called Ruby Leather, Miami Leather and JH Cook & Sons
@@Gilad-000 I could have done that yes, but since I’m selling these as a Custom Thursday Boot, I’m trying to keep the cost down and replacing them would only add to the cost.
@@Theshoeman02 ok but i still think it worths it to most people because it is significant. One of the main things seperate thursdays from heritage boots is the leather insole.
@@Gilad-000 I agree, if you’d like I’m happy to do a pair for you with the leather insoles. It would be an extra $200 for new leather insoles, inner cork, shanks, leather midsoles and soles.
Was holding a straight edge down while cutting leather. Was in a bit of a hurry couldn't see where my hand was. What I could see after running the blade along the edge was something rolling away from me along the table. First thought in my head was. That's my finger isn't it. Indeed it was. Not the whole thing just the tip. Took a second for the pain to start, but once I got it clean and wrapped up I ordered myself a pizza.
