I recall many years ago being at someone’s house near Lake Nokomis and the airplane noise was wild. We were in the back yard and had to pause our conversation every two minutes. 😂 but really nice older house and quiet inside.
I haven’t been in St. Paul for 30 years. It looks so much nicer now. I worked on Robert and used to lunch in the skyway. I mostly remember inebriated guys wanting to tell me about Jesus or whatever the topic was for that day.
I worked downtown in the mid to late’90’s and that may have been the start of the decline. The city would give huge tax credits to get businesses to stay or build downtown. I think employees would have preferred suburbs with free parking at that time. Now most people work at home. It’s all changed now.
I lived in Apple Valley in the late ‘90’s and I honestly don’t recognize anything. I looked at my old place on Zillow and it’s amazing how little the price increased since I sold 25 years ago.
Minnie use to be charming, but the Progressive Left has destroyed all the former charming aspects. The most historic building DESTROYED. .The first 10 story building the Metropolian that had strepped back glass floors around an open atrium...With the largest sky lite building IN the country ..,this narrator has no sense of the history. The Mexican restaurant used to be the Dells Cafe or Restaurant, I don't remember which one, had lots of good memories there as a kid, the food was always good, much more simpler times. 👍

For a year straight, I drove to St. Paul and Minneapolis stayed their for 5+ hours. I used to be right by Target Field / Center. I spent more time going out to Eagan and Bloomington. I picked up a pickup truck from a guy right as the pandemic started! I was on the interstate trying to leave with a motorcoach full of people during the Castille protests! I need to take a drive and look at more of the city!
After high school in 1980 I worked in the mall on the third shift cleaning and waxing floors there, it was just our 4 man crew and the guard and the Winchles Donuts lady in the building at night. I really think they should avoid putting carpet in a mall or store as the stains are hard to get out where on a hard floor you just spot mop the spill or go over it with a scrubber and your done.
He didn't mention the smell of weed at every bus stop and park bench. 😆 And the Cop he was talking to is a "spokesman" for the MPD. Nuff said.! And no mention of George Floyd? HE and the Mayor and the Insane DEMOCRAT City Council RUINED Minneapolis. And it's permanent! Just like Detriot!👍

I've never been there. Tell please, is there a normal public tranportation in city? if you live without car, how problem is to get from living area to downtown?
I am 21 and I lived in city my whole Life which is why I don’t drive even though I want to so bad .so technically no you don’t need a car if you work and live downtown because there’s buses literally everywhere
