no :) more flexibility makes it easier, but it's not necessary

I have a question, I am flexible, but when it comes to carrying my self with my arms, I can only do it elevated surfaces. How long do you will think it will take me to learn the flare with the proper training. I can do a swipe but not a windmill

it all depends how much you are practicing, it can take some weeks up to some years

Bending them can help spreading a little more, but other than that it’s just a flexibility matter, so stretch a lot :)
