Young brother! I disagree… Not being disrespectful but do some more research. Any high carbon steel based Katana that’s hit against rocks SHOULD chip! Any blade from 1060 - 1095 differentially hardened carbon steel and yes even T/10 steel is going to chip if you hit rocks. They were made to cut thru flesh and MAYBE some bone. Tatami mats and bamboo is about the extent of their capabilities in terms of cutting without risk of serious damage. 9260 and MN 65 spring steel are going to be your tougher blades but I still would not recommend beating them in and on rocks.

I really want to get vergils yamato from dmc5, I have a wooden one and it just doesn't do it for me, I do enjoy practicing iedo moves nut I don't see myself using many bamboo mats to cut amd that's all I'd ever really considering cutting, mini katanas great quality for there price, heavy emphasis on "the price" these swords are around 200 bucks amd for that price you're simply not getting good enough quality of hardened steel I can get a yamato for around 500 bucks that I'd actually consider using more for cutting but it's not accurate to the game at all it's missing alot of details, I've scanned over mini katanas version for hours and except from the obviously fake Hammond which is a shame as some of there other swords have a real one it's actually pretty damn accurate and amazing craftsmanship so for on my wall and a yearly bored cut on a proper mat I think it's worth it

Just because it’s sporting a hamon doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to preform “less” than a through hardened blade. If it’s a well made sword then the “beating” it would sustain would be negligible to the through hardened blade. A bigger concern would be bad welds on pattern welded blades and small cracks or wrong temp in the heat treat on “diff hardened “. My opinion of course lol

Ronin katana, the dojo pro line is prob the best most durable katana you are gonna get at the $200-$300 price range(check their annual dents and dings sales). It's 1060 through hardened triple laminated carbon steel. Blade to blade it would cut through a traditionally folded, differentially hardened steel sword like butter. The edge retention is a little less stable than a folded steel sword or so they say, but make no mistake it's gonna stay sharp for awhile. 1095 nothing wrong with it, but don't sell 1060 short until you've checked out reviews for the Ronin dojo pros. Mathew Jensen (look him up) breaks lots of swords and he was impressed with how long it took to push it to failure. He literally had to abuse the spine against a metal rod. Either way it's a damn good katana for practice in and outside of the dojo. Or even just backyard cutting. I don't recommend their higher end swords, but specifically the dojo pro line holds up to $10k+ swords in terms of durability and performance. You can slice the head off a mule in one swing with that thing with little to no damage to the blade. Perfect zombie apocalypse sword!! Take that info or leave it. Good luck and happy swinging

Pretty good from the draw with those coconuts, I'll definitely still have to practice learning to tie on, but it's much better to encounter the tame beasts in the backyard with my sword than spear anyway. I was looking at some kunai that looked kinda cool with the cord tied on, and I've got some wooden swords, bottle stands, frizbees, boomerangs, and rubber duckies; as it's best to practice with two swords anyway though.

What is bro doing outside with a sword 💀🙏 Oh yeah also it’s not worth buying mini katana swords, Recently there has been a lot of poor quality and un checked quality control swords. A lot of people get their swords ( both display and high carbon steel blades ) bent or even chipped. The reason for this issue is poor quality control and the blades are extremely mass produced Which leads to some fittings not fitting on the blade causing damage to it. And the containers That they ship with hundreds of blades causes some scabbards to get damaged and have indents.

Your channel looks promising and I’m looking forward to seeing you improve your form. Now I think your best cut was at 1:53 mark. The tricky part about cutting is the edge alignment which dictates how clean your cuts are. Make sure to keep your wrists straight while you cut through the bottles and not bent, keep the blade constantly in the same direction from point A to point B. The thing about draw cutting from the saya is that it challenges you to be more accurate and precise, don’t sacrifice accuracy for speed. A way you can practice your edge alignments is to cut the air and if hear like a swoosh sound then you should know if that’s a good cut. Keep in mind that the sound may vary depending on the sword you use. Keep practicing and I’m certain you’ll improve lightyears. Just two cents from a guy who isn’t any better Peace and Blessings.

Also, don't just buy cheap ones, as you won't be satisfied long term. Research the good one that you want and be confident that's the one you will be happy with, and save up and buy it, even if it is expensive. @Mushin-Flowstate
@Mushin-Flowstate Месяц назад
Bladesmith here. 1045 to 1060 are considered low carbon steels. They are softer than more high catbon steels like 1075 to 1095. Those are basic carbon steels. Low carbon is not terrible as long as you have proper edge alignment. If not they will bend. Of course alot has to do with the heat treatment. I would aim for 9160 or 5160 spring steel if I were a new practitioner. Swords in this range are priced well and are forgiving to bending and breaking, but lose sharpness slightly faster than high carbons. Any further questions please ask.
@Mushin-Flowstate
@Mushin-Flowstate Месяц назад
High carbon swords are more brittle and unforgiving to hard targets and poor techniques. A proper smith can temper the steel to a softer hardness to help. Higher carbon = sharper, harder, but more brittle generally speaking

@XVIINFINITE
@XVIINFINITE Месяц назад
I Know Little So I’ll Do Best To Help Make Sure The Hair Isn’t Wet Or Damp Whenever You Sleep (Because The Hair Compresses And It Could Possibly Build Up Mildew, Which Shouldn’t Happen But It’s Better To Be Safe) Whenever I Wash My Hair Lately I’ve Just Been Rinsing It With Water Because I Noticed My Hair Locks Up Better That Way Because Using Shampoo Or The Shampoo I Use At Least Kind Of Unravels The Hair For Some Reason So Now I Just Rinse It For The Most Part And Might Just Wash It Every 2 Weeks Unless I Feel Like I Need To Wash It Then And There I Pick The Hair Out From The Roots Often (Mostly From The Roots, After The Shower, After I Wake Up And Spray My Hair With A Water Spritzer Thing Because Picking Dry Hair Can Cause Breakage) Because Yeah The Hair Compresses After Laying Down For Long Periods Of Time You Could Possibly Try Picking The Hair Out From The Tips Of Your Hair Just Do It Slowly And Not Too Rough
@XVIINFINITE

I Am Careful Whenever I Shower Like I’ll Only Scratch The Roots But I’ll Do It In Sections Instead Of Scrubbing My Hair Normally So I Don’t Mess With The Little Loc Coils Then I Have My Hand Flat And Go Counter Clockwise Over The Top Of My Hair (You Probably Don’t Need To) I Do That Because I Go Counter Clockwise On My Hair With The Hair Sponge So I Try To Mimic The Same Thing With My Hands After The Shower To Dry My Hair I Use A Microfiber Towel (This Will Help You Not Only Dry The Hair But Maintain The Shape Slightly Because Microfiber Towels Can Create Locs As Well) But Don’t Get Anything That Has Color Get A Black, Brown, Or Dark Grey Just In Case So You Don’t Have Like Yellow Lint In Your Hair

@woo403 They’re Based In California So The Closer You Live To California The Better I’m In Texas And It Usually Never Takes More Than 2 Weeks So Far I Received Them Within A Week If Not A Week And 2-4 Days And The Time Of Year Plays A Big Part During The Holidays It’ll Take A Bit Longer Since They Have A Lot Of Orders

Well im sorry but this video doesn’t make any sense, if you do actually martial arts like kenjutsu or something else (i did 9 years ninjutsu in which you learn kenjutsu and taijutsu) then you should have a katana either dull or sharp depending on your kyu or dan. Who in earth trains kenjutsu and considers buying katana‘s especially from a website
