Google “flats boat accross the Atlantic”. Yes a 20’ open flats boat with a singe 160 hp Suzuki. Crossed the entire N Atlantic going throuth icebergs! Unassisted. Amazing.
Not sure I,would, have bought lures at Dick’s of all places. They rape you something fierce with their prices. Next time check out Tackle Warehouse or one of the other good online bait shops
Very beautifull clip and you have an eye for really seeing whats out there and creating a zen vibe around it! This is rare and requires not only talent but a true love for nature.
Nice try ! Hey , That's Florida for you . And the Mullet Run ....There's so much bait now when trying for a Snook , It's like trying to find a Needle in a Haystack ! Thanks for sharing with us !
Man, you can get so distracted out there when you’re having fun. I was about 30 miles south of Mobile Bay in my 20’ Gulfstream, and for a 20’ vessel, she is quite salty, but fishing the snapper reefs was on my mind. When I got out there, there were a dozen or so other boats. I looked up after awhile and I was it. Every other boat had gone, and I soon found out why. Before I knew it, I was riding compass north in 6 to 8 footers and torrential rain. Fortunately the waves were rollers, so I was running bow high at about 1200 rpm and finally saw land, but there were a few “toss that pair of underwear” moments.
Happy to see You attach Your Kill-Switch Tether ( Always Use It ) and Always wear a PFD ……… Rare to Recover a DEAD Boater, Wearing a PFD !!!!!! You lucked out 🎉
Seems like the mgregger 26x with the mast removed and 50hp motor could be an amazing fishing boat. You have a bedroom, kitchen bathroom wil a 1 foot draft but serious water ballast. It self rights if it ever capsize s and with 50 hp motor it will go 25mph! Less than $10,000 and easily trailered like any sport fishing boat. It is fragile by sailboat standards but it will take way worse conditions than an open boat and it is self righting which even expensive fishing boats with cabins can't do. Just remove the mast if you don't want to sail and use it as a motor boat. It is cheap and more seaworthy than sport boats .
Didn't used to be this difficult to find decent fish. I believe poaching is has become a massive problem as I've seen people take fish over and under slot size not to mention thecast netting foreigners that keep literally everything in their nets aside from the plecos
