Will this go water thin with fragrance oil? That's my issue with formulas. I love the recipe I have, but it separates when I add the gum ... I like your recipe here ... just nervous about the thinning 😢
@@menriquez1350 Hi! You can use this formula to create that exact thing. It’s what I sell in my shop! Just leave out the fragrance percentage and then when you are ready to use it add it then.
Hi there! Thank you for watching! As stated in the video, the formula can be found on my website at the link in the description. Please let me know if you have any other questions
I am sorry you were confused, what did you find confusing? I’d be happy to clear it up! Also I go slow so that beginners can get it all. This is important to me. You can always use the RU-vid controls to speed the video up. Hope that helps! Have a great day!
thank you very much for the video! Tell me, why do you add a preservative? and what kind of preservative is needed? I made peg-40 with fragrance, then added it to the water, but after a while the liquid turned from clear to dark red. I don't speak English, I write through a translator.
Hi there, thank you for watching! Because this formula has water added it needs a preservative to prevent bacteria growth. For more details on what to use and how you can grab the formula at the link in the Description box. I will try and link it here as well. Hope that helps. astarieapothecary.com/collections/formulas/products/diy-room-body-linen-spray-formula-digital-download
Hi there thanks for watching. You could absolutely use the PEG 40 and not use perfumers alcohol. You may have to adjust your PEG 40 percentages to get it to go Clear you would have to test it and also just be advised that the fragrance will not last as long if you don’t use the perfumers alcohol, I hope that helps
Hi there! Thank you for watching! All measurements are available at the link in the bio. The full formula with percentages and measurements and information on making are available there! 💜 Hope that helps
Thank you for watching! Unfortunately I can’t give everything away for free, myself and many other makers love to share, but we also have to purchase supplies and ingredients to test and create more formulas and so I do offer my formulas for sale. I appreciate you and everyone who watched even if you can’t get a formula, and I hope that information I share is still useful to you.
Hi there! Thank you for watching. The ingredients and all information is available at the link in the description. It’s a link to the formula on my website.
Hi! I used Liquid Germall Plus here, you can use Opitphen, just be aware it can be tricky sometimes. It can cause emulsions to split I’d add under 100 degrees F.
Hi! Thanks for watching! Glycerin is sometimes added to be nice feeling in the skin, but it doesn’t solubilizer the fragrance oil into the water. Hydrogenated Castor oil is a solubilizer, meaning it allows that oil to mix into the water and remain stable and it also in most cases creates a clear product. You definitely don’t want oil not mixed in both for safety (concentrated fragrance on the skin or surfaces isn’t safe) and aesthetics (no one wants an oil slick on their fabrics or skin.) I hope that helps.
Hi, Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I am new in this space, I have seen recipes I want to try but the recipes are in bigger batches. How do I reduce the batch and work on the recipe? Hope this isn't too much , I really need help with this
Hi! Thank you for being here! First the easiest way to scale a recipe is if it’s written in percents. Then you can use the same calculator I am showing here and type in whatever size batch you’d like to make. And plug in the percentages and it will tell you how much to use of each ingredient. But converting a recipe (worsen in grams or oz) is a bit different and more complicated. But still possible. There’s another calculator on the same site that does it for you. I’ll have to do a video showing how it works.
@@juanacerdamoreno1146 Hola de nuevo, no, este es un control de bordes que ayuda a fijar el cabello suelto y que también usan los trenzadores para ayudar a mantener las trenzas y las partes ordenadas.
Hi there, do you mean with the scale? Yes that is very important to have a stable and safe end product. The scales are not very expensive just to get started. 💜
Hi there thank you so much for watching, yes, there will be formulas for both shampoo and conditioner bars with some specific information of trying to tailor your formula for different hair types, including 4C hair
Thank you so much! These are water soluble dyes. You could possibly use oil soluble lakes as well, but you would need to mix them with your fragrance oil first to solubilize them
I didn’t realize I didn’t respond to the second part of your question. The water helps the product go further and he’s less drying on the skin than a traditional perfume. As this is more of a mist than a perfume we add it to dilute it some. A perfume would be a different formulation. With no water. Thanks for watching!
Hi there! Thank you for watching! Yes that’s absolutely how you would do it. I also suggest going over a couple oz just to give yourself a buffer for evaporation, not being able to scrape it all out and/or pH adjusting.
Thank you for watching!! And I am glad you enjoyed them. I always go back and forth about letting her in the video or not, but if I keep waiting for a time when she’s not around I’ll never get it done 😂
I can totally relate, my 3.5 years old now used to be the background of all my business meetings. And I don’t regret it. Having him around means the world.
@@astarieapothecarytalk your talk… the formulation and method is on point. If all they got out of this is your way of talking, then they are not your people nor needed. You rock with your formulations 🙌🏾✨
Hi! Yes, the main ingredient SCi is actually called Baby Foam in many places. It’s used in many baby products. Gentle on skin. I would probably skip fragrance and color, but that’s not totally necessary. Safe percentages are what matter. Thanks for watching!
Hi I was wondering are there any specific percentages for the oils we use like if I want to make 10 bottles of foaming or emulsified scrub how would I know how much oil to put in I sincerely hope my question isn’t to weird or awkward I’m new to soap making and I really want to get this down oh and by the way I really appreciate your content ❤
Hi! I am sorry I didn’t see this sooner. No problem with asking! Thank you so much! So first you will want to figure out how much each bottle holds. If each bottle is 8 oz that means you need 80oz all together. With this calculator you’d put 80 oz as your total and then plug in each percentage of your ingredients when you hit calculate, it will tell you how much of each ingredient you need to make that amount. Now you will have to already have a formula worked out. I have several and the way I wrote them, they are starting points with general percentages (unless a specific amount is needed) and information on how to decide how much to use and what to use. Then you get to have fun experimenting with your own ideas and choices, but with a guideline. I hope that helps. And thank you so much for watching! !!
