Hello what preservative do you use is Optiphen ok yo use?

Hi! I used Liquid Germall Plus here, you can use Opitphen, just be aware it can be tricky sometimes. It can cause emulsions to split I’d add under 100 degrees F.

Hi!! Colloidal oats I would add to the water phase as they are dissolved in water. But most others like Turmeric or charcoal I’d add to the oil phase. You may have to look each one up to see what they are dissolve or soluble in.

Thank you for a great video and I would like to add that statement you made about having a supply of preserved distilled water was a great idea and added value to the video as most people would not think about something like that! It's those tiny little details that do matter because formulators and cosmetic creators know that when creating skin care products it's truly a science!

Please check the title of the video, it says recipe and tutorial. This is not a tutorial and there's no recipe. A tutorial is when you show someone who doesn't know a process, how it's done. If I sat recipe that means I giving you a recipe. The video title should have said, "how I make my body wash". Not hating just pointing out an error. Thanks for sharing your process.

You can host videos on RU-vid and embed them on paid sites, probably where she gives her recipes along with instructions. I never give out the recipes free either, so I don't blame her.

I don’t give out my recipes either because it’s proprietary however, I agree with you whole hardly about the title. People always putting that up in the title to get you come watch the video knowing that they’re not giving you the recipe directing you to go and pay for it

Hi! Yes, the main ingredient SCi is actually called Baby Foam in many places. It’s used in many baby products. Gentle on skin. I would probably skip fragrance and color, but that’s not totally necessary. Safe percentages are what matter. Thanks for watching!

Hi there, do you mean with the scale? Yes that is very important to have a stable and safe end product. The scales are not very expensive just to get started. 💜

You really do not need to check the ph with this recipe. You are not using anything with a high ph. I would only suggest a ph test for K hydroxide or Na hydroxide.

The body normally has a ph ranging from 3.5 to 7 so you don't want anything above 7. There is a supposed ideal ph for products that is 5 or under but nothing with a ph up to 7 will feel or act any different on skin or hair.

Actually I have to disagree with you. The science says it can absolutely have negative effects on the skin and as someone who has two children with skin issues, I take it very seriously making sure the PH is in range it definitely can cause irritation. Obviously to each their own but I’ll stick to checking and balancing my products. Thanks for watching!

Also depending on ingredients added and preservative you always want to make sure your PH is is working good rages for those ingredients as well
