@@benparsons734 hey brother, funny you ask as i was just about to go to Nepal and looking for meditation sounds as me and my partner do live improv sessions on youtube (Ancient Alkemy if you want to see what i do with loopy) and because i cant take my guitar we are going to do meditative atmospheric type music. I’d recommend looking at apps like xinematix, that seems to be the best i can find for that style. Synth one has got some cool presets and get a nice reverb like Eos2 or Stratosphere. Dubstation 2 is a good delay too. I make a lot of my sounds in Logic Pro using my more expensive plugins like omnisphere or various kontakt libraries and auto sample them, send the .exs24 file to audiolayer on the ipad which is basically kontakt on the ipad.
I haven't really set up a way to share templates but maybe if you DM me I can do it through there. I have a new template that I have created that gets all the love, this template probably still exists
Cheers, I unfortunately lost this template....or maybe I rebuilt it as I cant find it but I have one similar. You could DM me with your email addy if you like.
I’m not exactly sure which one I was using back then, nowadays I use an ath-m50xsts usb mic with a lightning dongle. The best quality mic I could find on a pair of headphones for sure
What’s the key button please sorry can’t see your fingers mate would have been great if you did start from scratch but I can understand that’s a hassle for you. Maybe this is simply a video demonstrating some of your favourite fx apps Some interesting pointers here unfortunately skims over a whole lot of the Loopy stuff so loads of guess work involved regarding the loopy set up. Sorry Gets amazingly frustrating to try and follow but nice bass sound not sure what the bass app was I am guessing here and take this as a complement you are probably a really good entertainer but a reluctant teacher 😅 Thank you
I understand your point, I did say a few times how it wasn't a deep dive and was just trying to get to the point that recording automation is possible. If I had of deep dived it would have been a really long video id say. Id like to put more effort into making these videos however I have a busy life, ADHD and a lot of other stuff im working on. Sorry I dont know when I said "key Button" as I dont have a key button. Bass sounds im not actually sure as my template is constantly evolving and I mostly use Ableton push 3 these days. Funny, im actually quite a good teacher one on one haha
Thanks muchly 😀 ooh That’s a tricky one, that fader did a few things. I think I had it apply an auto filter on a loop that had white noise constantly playing. it also applied an auto filter to the main mix I think, sorry I can’t remember it’s been a while since I used it
Nice one mate. I have been experimenting with improvs with loopy pro. Heaps of mistakes, but imo thats what' its all about, fearlessness to find something. check my channel if you like, and even though our approach is actually fairly similar, its awesome seeing the influences pushing the differences in the process. Great stuff👌
Yeah correct, no midi is being sent. The midi clock is the most important thing to sync which ableton link works just fine through both devices being on the same wifi network.
yeah I know but if you live loop I need to press stop sometimes which stops recording and auto capture doesn't work while recording either so its not going to work for me
nice. excellent sounds. inspiring. please make more of these. sorry to hear about audiolayer flunking out on you, but i have no doubt you'll go on designing delicious sounds using other means.
Thankyou🙏 I actually bought the push3 recently and figured out how to use ableton link with loopy pro. It’s an awesome setup. I will hopefully get around to another video soon! Thanks for the sub
@@theinfinate awesome. i recently got one, too, but i've sort of stopped using ableton altogether, trying to slim down my gear. i'm not sure how it would work better so i'll be very much looking forward to your take on it.
@@theinfinate but here you're pressing the button just on the iPad. i can get the stutter onto the clip now when recording, but why can't i hear it live when it's happening? some kind of monitoring issue i'm missing?
i learn so much from watching your videos, thanks. you inspire me. we're all just learning to build the template that works best for our selves in our endeavors, and Loopy Pro gives everyone the open freedom of ultimate versatility. we can do what we want.
Oh ok the a7s3 great camera beautiful look! I'm wondering if I can get the same look with my GH5 with the 25mm 1.7 ! that shallow depth a field😍. I'll try 😃
sorry man I only just saw this as my notifications were broken somehow. I cant remember what aperture I used, I think I used my 50mm f1.4 on full frame so that would be impossible on a m4/3 sensor. Although I think I cranked the ISO to raise the aperture as there was too much bokeh! this was 12800 ISO!
Hi ! Great demonstration video! I would have watched yet! Thanks for uploading, my friend! Crystal clear recording! I really like it! It's a good choice for music! Congratulations, huge like (4)! See you soon! Have a nice weekend!
These are beyerdynamic mmx300 mkii. Since then audio technica came out with Ath-mx50 usb. These are the best headset mic I’ve tried. They use the capsule from their 20 series microphones
@@R41NES yeah man, all you need is a usb to usb c dongle (providing you have newer iPad) I cant say for sure about older iPads as I have an iPad Pro m1, my iPhone 13 works too with an adapter dongle
Great video, quick unrelated Loopy Pro question if you don’t mind. How do you share the live screenshot of LoopyPro as a Picture in Picture. I’ve tried a few tools like cinamaker but to do any form of screen sharing they need a Mac and I only have an iPad Pro. Are you having to use a Mac?
I use fcpx on a mac but you could do this with many video editing apps in iPad, I know davinci resolve can, LumaFusion, even VN (free)does it. Just Do a screen recording on iPad (natively on screen from swiping top right) and place it on top of your other video. Easy as buttering toast 😉
Very inspiring🎉… to see all #LoopyPro can handle 🔥 You’re really putting it to the test. Cool walk through of your template and fun to hear the apps triggered. Great set and video quality. Complex! Mahalo for sharing your setup 🤙🏼
Have you seen anything in a tutorial on how to get launchpad (mini) to play ball with loopy pro. Point me in the right direction? I see this layout looks familiar, but nor sure how to achieve it from scratch.
@@kittensinkmusic the laundpad mk3 ‘tis auto mapped which means you plug it in and straight away you can see loops and colour of loops. Just like ableton. When you midi map a button, the relevant colour and on and off value is seen on launchpad
@@theinfinate hmm. guess i gotta get one then. i was hoping maybe the Push 2 in User mode would work. (Really trying to minimize how much hardware i have to lug around.) are there any other stellar controllers you know of that work this well with Loopy Pro?
@@kittensinkmusic try the push, it will work as buttons but the auto mapping is essential imo. The apc40 mkii (I think that’s the one, the newest one anyway) is friken awesome!
Hi, thanks for these fantastic tuts on loopy pro, just got myself loopy pro recently and I am wondering which extra device I should grab first between the launchpad or Akai apc mk2. Would be nice to see ur reply
Cheers man, If your aim is to use samplers and synths id get the launchpad, if your just using instruments eg. Vocals and guitar you might be better off with the apc. The launchpad can do it all and it has custom mode which is handy. I really like the physical faders and knobs on the apc. I bought the launchpad first and it did it all but decided I wanted more buttons and faders.
Is it gonna REALLY annoy you that there is a 505 preset built into loopy pro? 😬 It’s in the sample projects folder called RC-505-esque made by Jonas Viatte. It certainly doesn’t have the effects you have built up but just thought you would like to know.
Nah doesn’t bother me, I had to start somewhere and figured people searching RU-vid for rx505 would now find loopy. It’s a journey for me as this is most likely going to be a 5 part series and will end up looking nothing like an rc505.
A cool thing i did was to ad pitch and speed sliders , really fun. I couldn’t figure out with actual sliders so i used x y pads and slimmed them down to narrow slider size . I set one up as the x or y slider (i forget which was which) to control pitch and set it up vertically next to the volume slider, and the other a slim horizontal strip controlling speed right under each clip . so each clip has those independent functions. I know theres others ways to achieve that but this approach was easiest for me to figure out . Only thing i couldn’t figure was how to get them to snap back to zero point .
