I am scoring around 70-110 ( depending upon mock ) . Mock Percentile 96-99 Expected percentiles (98-99) It would be better if I don’t disclose my profile 😆 Maybe after getting a good b school I might disclose . 😁😁
Hi sir....ur strategies are soo good..thnkq so much for helping...sir i have a question..im able to attempt min 1 set max 1n half...i havent reached 2 yet...when i encounter any set in mock ...im not able to fully approach it but when i see the soln i can...how to improve this?
Because you’re not solving enough sets and if you’re solving , you’re not revising . And you should attempt sectionals , if improve your skill of finding an easy set . Give 2-3 sectionals in a day .
Yes , I solve all the sets . As sometimes , I gain some insights of how to solve that tough set , in case I encounter that type of set in cat . ( I would already know how to solve it ( even though it’s a tough set , if I already know the way , it would become an easy set ) Or I can use the approach for some other set . But I don’t waste hours solving that set , I give 30 minutes to a set , if I am unable to solve it . I check the solutions .
if i am not able to crack the set during mock, then later i try to solve back . i look up to the solution after battling for 20 mins with it. is it okay? cause experts say to try for 1 -2 hrs..but i dont have much time for that. also apart from ims ,should i buy another test series (still half of it is remaining and according to you which is good? pls suggest
It’s okay , you can see the solution , there is no point in wasting 2 hours on a single set . Just keep on revising the sets . No , I don’t think so , as you’ll not be able to complete the test series . IMS is sufficient .
Brother , maybe If I'll get some time .I"ll make , but , till then , try to attempt the questions , after your mock , then , only watch the solutions , try to do it in the day itself. it should take around 3-4 hours at least.
I'm giving cat 21,22,23 as mocks, and there are 64 sets from cat 2017 - 20 and I can do 3 sets a day and this takes 21-22 days to finish them and also I'm giving 14 mocks (14 days) .... if we calculate all these things, I left with max 6 days to do other sets, and as you mentioned eliyes grid video of 35 sets, may be I can do 10 - 15 sets of them... Is this okay???? or covering all those 35 sets is Important? I covered arrangements, games, distributions, etc and noted their notes and presentation and did 2-3 easy sets from each topic....... so from tomorrow should I do those Elites grid 10-15 sets and jump to doing PYQs only till the cat and If I can't solve those set in 30 min, I'll look at the video solutoon at 2x speed and note down learnings, tricks etc and revise as you said.... Will this be good....?? and I'll put a timer of 40 min (3 sets) and I'll solve and select doable.... agar in that 40 minutes also If I can't solve a single set, should I need to worry?? and after that time I'll look at the attempted set solution and solve other sets and following the same approach for those sets as well... And bhaiya should I need to worry if i can't solve those pyq sets everytime....
No , brother , You shouldn't worry . it happens to every one , this is a good approach , past cat pyq are a good source . that video of 35 sets (some of the sets are very easy to) you won't take much time . but, you should always try the set first by yourself , then only look at the solution , otherwise , you'll just forget the solution .
Hi bro can tell me please just important topics of dilr so that I can solve at least 1 set i am just at beginner level and can you provide the link for the same resources you mentioned in video
during practice, If I do a set for 30 minutes and still unable to solve, then should I look at the complete solution and identity and note down where I went wrong and what should be done and how the data should be presented, etc etc ... and if that set presentation was different, should I add it on my revision
@@vishalgoud014 yes , that should be the case . If you’re unable to solve it , look at the solution , no need to waste another 30-40 minutes on it . Note the solution and revise it .
Hi sir.... actually while attempting in mock i score less .. but when i analyse it afterwards...im able to solve with very good accuracy...how to improve?
it depends upon your strength and weakness . if you're good in quants, DILR , you'll be needing less time in those sections . you approach should be: you should fully analyse what went wrong , what stopped you from scoring good . which easy questions you didn't select , is there any shortcut way to do the questions , you attempted . your thought process while marking a specific question in varc . is it the correct thought , or you just got lucky . I usually take 1.75 hours for QA and DILR (as I've to reattempt the other two sets which I left ) . 1.25 hour for varc . I rewatch the teacher's explanation (even of those which I got correct)
@@TheWiseMentor360 So considering if I analyse a mock for 4 hours then, I should also spend solving other questions/sets which I didn't solved. so this takes another day... so it means 2 days for 1 mock..
@@AnushkaShah1201 yes , you should try them without timer . but , don't get stuck on one question. if in 20-25 mins you're unable to solve a DILR set. move on and see the solution .
@@TheWiseMentor360 Yess! so it means I will solve 60 questions (includes pyq as well) and then I'll focus on only mocks + analysis only.... I mean per topic 60 questions with quality questions are enough right???? and moreover mocks se cat level questions hojayenge.... hena??
Hello bhaiya!! I am a facing alot of problems in DILR... Varc decent, QA doing more questions. So... I started cat 7 days back, I solved few basic sets on known topics like arrangements, games, distributions venn etc of dilr.... today I gave dilr cat 2023 slot as sectional..... literally I got -ve in that not even able to solve half set....... when I looked at cat 2023, 2022 dilr sets, my mind went blank and started strong panic, I can't even figure out what to do, how people start such sets, how should I actually start.... I was super feared, if this is the case then how can I even solve 1 set in cat 2024 exam, atleast 4 correct chahiye to clear cut off..... Please share what should I first, ek set b nhi solve koraha.... please bhai.... • for the next 4 days, Should I focus on solving more and more lod 1 sets on those well known topics like arrangements, games, venn, scheduling, distributions, etc??? • Should I note down how we present the data for all the sets (which are new) based on how to present if such data or elements or parameters are given?? is this best to do for every new set which can't come under a topic... • Please share from where should I start, Because It took almost 20 minites just to solve lod 1 set... and moreover, there suggesr something.... I really need your help.... • I can do 3-4 sets daily
Don’t worry brother . You’ll be able to solve sets in 2024 . You just need to work efficiently and in the right direction . You just did the easy sets are practice sets and directly jumped to tough sets of cat . Don’t be demotivated , don’t rush to things . I’ll soon make a video on dilr , but Till then you can You’ve to know the technique to the standard sets first . First watch video lecture of the basic standard 30-40 sets at least and revise them regularly after 4-5 days . Then , proceed to sectionals . Sectionals are in increasing LOD . Starting sectionals are easy , The middle ones are medium . And the last ones are tough .
1.i have only completed my arithmetic and algebra till now . still not feeling confident.ALso should i start geometry or fully focus on improving these two sessions these two sections only 2. tsd is very conmplicated . how to improve it 3. parajumbles samjh hi nhi ate .get confused nd lost while solving them please guide me
Learn short tricks of TSD from Rodha . and solve at least 50 medium level questions of TSD. you can just learn the basics of geometry ,because at times geometry questions are really tricky and even after practising so many questions , we can't see the approach. so , to sum it up , just learn the basics of geometry and complete all other topics , modern maths etc .
I haven't covered geometry till now. Only covered arithmetic and algebra . What should I do now . Should I start geometry or just practice algebra and arithmetic?

I don't use formula book myself. its for those who are struggling in quants . I am well versed with all formulas . if you want you can search , there are plenty of formula books.
Bro i am not able to attempt more than 5-6 ques. I have completed arithmetic and algebra. Geometry bhi kiya h but uske ques abhi ho nhi paa rhe . During mocks question dekhr kr smj jati hu krna kya h but due to time limit m attempt nhi kr pati maximum. I tried alot ki ek ques ko 3-4 min m khtm kru but arithmetic k ques bhut timr le lete h. Please suggest kya kru. There might be chances ki m calculation m slow hu issliye ho rha h
Yes , increase your speed and try to solve only those questions which require less time . Mark arithmetic lengthy questions but don’t do them until you do one iteration . Within 20 minutes you should select 5-6 easy questions from 22 questions and you must reach till the end . Then only do the lengthy questions .
@Neha-oi3nk geometry questions are tricky , at times , you know the approach within 10 seconds , at times it takes 10 minutes . whenever you encounter a question , if you see the approach within 30 seconds , solve it , otherwise leave it and spend your time wisely on other questions.
Bhaiya!!! I am getting a 90percentile in maths but i cant take my score above 30!!! Kabhi kabhi i correctly solve the questions but uska ans galat kar deta hu kyuki question ache se padhta hi nhi🙆🏿♂️
@@dakshbhriguvanshi5822 happens with me all the time , that’s why I attempt more 😃 1-Try to read questions more carefully . 2-Try to select easier questions. 3-Practice from sectionals
and I started my preparation 2 days back only..... and bcuz of my college and exams, I may not be effective.... but I can surely do 3 things daily, 1) 3 RC + 4 VA 2) 3 Sets (pyq's) 3) 20 - 30 questions on quants. If I do this daily till the cat, is this okay!!!! Moreover, I am doing only arithmetic, and targeting 600+ questions from arithmetic only... Want 4 questions correct in quants, 1 set in dilr, and ace varc... Can I reach the target If I do 20-25 questions of QA, 3 sets of dilr, and 3 RC daily....
Don’t focus only on attempting 4 questions , because you may/ may not get them 100 %correct . We unknowingly do small small mistakes , take margin of at least 2 questions . Try to broaden your quants topics .
@@AnushkaShah1201 good , but also try to include logs , quadratic , inequalities , base systems(indices) , and sequence and series . Don’t just stick to solving only 4 questions , try to maximise your attempts .
Hello!!! I really need your advice and opinions. I'm from Hyderabad, and my semester exams are in november 2nd week onwards... and my college attendance is mandatory. bcuz of this I may not give more mocks during the exam times, I hope you understand my situation and moreover my exams will end on 22nd nov.... Is it okay if I give 12 Mocks (that too past 3 year papers as mocks) I posted another continuation of this...
Yes , it’s okay . As long as you do in depth analysis . It’s okay . Just focus on quality . In those 12 mocks , Learn how to find easier questions.Practice your ‘finding easier question’ skill and you’re good to go . 💯
First I would advise you to read any fiction book of your choice , with easy language ( of your interest , it’s very important ) I have a interest in Greek mythology so , I read 1-Percy jackson and the Lightning Thief 2-The Sea of Monsters 3-The Titan's Curse 4-The Battle of the Labyrinth 5-The Last Olympian Please please , choose books of your own interest , otherwise you’ll kill your habit of reading . It’s really important , I had interest in Greek mythology , so , I read them effortlessly , you might not . After reading these , I was quite comfortable in long reading sessions . The above 5 books are very easy to read. You can try Harry Potter (it’s also an easy read ) You can read 2-3 easy level books . Then I switched to Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle . I read 4 books 1-A Study in Scarlet 2-The Sign of the Four 3-The Hound of the Baskervilles 4-the valley of fear These books are good for reading as they are a bit tougher . After these , I went on reading Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen I think you can see results after you’ll read at least 2-3 medium level novels . It’s really important that you don’t overburden yourself . And think of it more like a hobby . You’ll learn to enjoy and understand
