I have done concepts, of arith and algebra but in mocks i go blank, during analysis i find that i can do atleast 8-10 q,, how to approach now i have given 11-12 mocks and max i have scored in qa is 12... I haven't given any qa sectional till now

Sir I have a small question, dilr was quite easy for me and the study material of my institute I completed long ago as in when they finished a chapter I would finish their dilr sums like 60 sets on the same day. Can you please guide me on how to get back to practice, I feel I still know how to solve but just need little practice, how many sets a day should I aim for the next 20 days sir.

As you’re a general candidate you’ll need more percentile , but you’re a girl and you’ve done bsc , you’ll get academic diversity / gender diversity points . But considering you have above average Acads , You’ll be needing 97-98+ for top 10 b schools .

brother its a risky strategy because , you won't get 100 percent accuracy , you'll get one or two wrong .

Logs , quadratic , maxima minima , inequalities(is used in combination with other concepts ) , Graphs ( usually area related questions )

I guess you are able to find the solutions and your answer is +-1 from the actual answer . My suggestion would be to Always search for end points , usually , the exceptions are there .

@@Useractive-d9s yes ,I’ve made a separate video for that . It’s very helpful . Many of the aspirants have improved their scores .do check it out .

I don't use formula book myself. its for those who are struggling in quants . I am well versed with all formulas . if you want you can search , there are plenty of formula books.

Don’t focus only on attempting 4 questions , because you may/ may not get them 100 %correct . We unknowingly do small small mistakes , take margin of at least 2 questions . Try to broaden your quants topics .

It’s a really risky strategy , just to attempt 4 questions in quants . At least try to attempt 6-8 if you’re only aiming for 4 questions in quants .

@@AnushkaShah1201 good , but also try to include logs , quadratic , inequalities , base systems(indices) , and sequence and series . Don’t just stick to solving only 4 questions , try to maximise your attempts .

Yes , it’s okay . As long as you do in depth analysis . It’s okay . Just focus on quality . In those 12 mocks , Learn how to find easier questions.Practice your ‘finding easier question’ skill and you’re good to go . 💯

It all depends upon the difficulty of the mock but , you’ve to improve . It’s still a low score

No , it is not my first attempt . I am planning to give 45-50 mocks before cat 2024

Attempting mocks is not the way forward , your concepts are weak . Work upon your accuracy first . You can watch rodha sir lectures , they are a bit advanced (medium level I would say ) . And then any coaching material. But the paper is not easy any more . You should be able to know the advance concepts . You have to work harder .

Learn short tricks of TSD from Rodha . and solve at least 50 medium level questions of TSD. you can just learn the basics of geometry ,because at times geometry questions are really tricky and even after practising so many questions , we can't see the approach. so , to sum it up , just learn the basics of geometry and complete all other topics , modern maths etc .

Bhen if ur arithmetic is completed u should try to solve around atleast minimum 8 to 10 question...as I have seen 60 -70% paper is arithmetic

@@TheWiseMentor360 I know only arithmetic, and that too basic questions. When I attempt a Simcat, first of all can't find a lot of questions that I can do and when I start doing those 4-5 questions..I take up 40 mins doing just that and time runs out. Pathetic situation to be in the final lap.

@@sakshi10singh you need to broaden your scope . I think you get stuck in tough arithmetic questions . Try attempting log questions , they are generally easier and solvable . Try learning some other chapters also . You need to broaden your scope as the key is to find the easier questions, irrespective of the chapter . Atleast 8 should be your ideal attempt in your case , to clear the cutoff .

Because that mock might be easy . I once scored 54 marks for 99 percentile . And once I scored 35 for 99 .percentile .

Bhai , practice karo . Lack of practice ki wajah se hora hai . Sectionals pe focus karo

Brother , do you know all the basic concepts ? If yes , then you need to change your mock strategy . take first 8 minutes to search the desired dilr set . You’ll be able to search 2 easy sets . First try the first one for 12 minutes , if you’re no where near the solution . Leave that set . Go to the other easy one . Doing this you’ll be able to attempt at least one set .

@@TheWiseMentor360 Bro,my basic is clear and I've done all the concepts still unable to score😞 Today when I was searching for the easy sets in the mock, I left the lengthy set, thinking that it'll consume time but later while analysing I found that it was the easiest set😞

it depends upon your strength and weakness . if you're good in quants, DILR , you'll be needing less time in those sections . you approach should be: you should fully analyse what went wrong , what stopped you from scoring good . which easy questions you didn't select , is there any shortcut way to do the questions , you attempted . your thought process while marking a specific question in varc . is it the correct thought , or you just got lucky . I usually take 1.75 hours for QA and DILR (as I've to reattempt the other two sets which I left ) . 1.25 hour for varc . I rewatch the teacher's explanation (even of those which I got correct)

@@TheWiseMentor360 So considering if I analyse a mock for 4 hours then, I should also spend solving other questions/sets which I didn't solved. so this takes another day... so it means 2 days for 1 mock..

@@AnushkaShah1201 yes , you should try them without timer . but , don't get stuck on one question. if in 20-25 mins you're unable to solve a DILR set. move on and see the solution .

Yes and you need to work really hard .

Yes , increase your speed and try to solve only those questions which require less time . Mark arithmetic lengthy questions but don’t do them until you do one iteration . Within 20 minutes you should select 5-6 easy questions from 22 questions and you must reach till the end . Then only do the lengthy questions .

@Neha-oi3nk geometry questions are tricky , at times , you know the approach within 10 seconds , at times it takes 10 minutes . whenever you encounter a question , if you see the approach within 30 seconds , solve it , otherwise leave it and spend your time wisely on other questions.

Brother , don’t take any question on ego . It’s never too late to skip a question or a set . I’ve even left a set after giving 15 minutes to a set . Still I was able to score 30 marks . (Did 2 easy sets in 24 minutes ) Your time won’t come again .

@@SamriddhiTripathi-h1q bhai I talked to my mentor she suggested me to try different approaches to solve paper because ik the concepts 1. RC then VA 2. VA then RC 3. RC VA RC I have tried first approach and get tired and often used to solve 14q but as I gave mock test the fear of doing questions wrong made me attempt more less then I came to 10 then 8 but I realised this was bull shit What I did three days straight I practiced VA watched concept videos and then started attempting paper from back it made me 8 VA QUESTIONs in 15 16 minutes' then RC I FROM VERY FIRST test started scoring 15+. Regarding reading I used to read AEON Smithsonian every other material for atleast an hour what I changed it I started reading tough novel FOUNTAINHEAD what it did differently was the content is tough but after 3 4 days you will start skipping hard words or you will read it and assume meaning based on the sentence and content/ storyline is engaging but wording is tough it eventually helped me in VARC mocks I even scored 31 in toughest mock 97 98 percentile by IIMINSIDE No I going for the 3 rd approach as I get tired by coming till 3RD RC na eventually do all wrong son VA might give me a fresh start Keep in mind first 20 min 8-9 question do whatever combination you will see results I still score 40 - 50 but now major chunk comes VARC but dekhte hai kya hota hai
