Demonic Sweaters is a musical artist that ranges from solo work to a full band. I incorporate a wide range of influences into my music. I started playing drums when I was 10 years old, and I played in many bands over the years. I currently reside in NYC. I strive to create original content that appeals to myself and a wide audience. We really hope you enjoy the music! In addition to original music, I am also a drum instructor, and session musician. Contact is for business or booking inquiries only.
As of late September 2024, Clementine appears to have been abandoned by it's developer(s). I get it - putting in untold hours in your own time has to take a toll on the best of us. Amarok, by contract, appears to have been resurrected in 2024. I'll check it out tonight.
Closest I've tried to the Ludwig Accent is the Backbeat (Ludwig doesn't list this kit on their site). As far as I've found, the Backbeat is a rebranded Accent, sold exclusively at Guitar Center, and I was fortunate to grab a new one at $380 (normally goes for $500...along with the Breakbeats). From personal experience, the Backbeat is a good starter kit, just don't forget to grab better heads and cymbals (thinking of some Remo heads for Christmas, and I've been eyeing the Paiste PST 5 Rock pack for cymbals).
Yeah, those Backbeats look pretty decent. I think it's a slightly different kit though than the accents. The sizes and finishes are pretty different, as well s the badges. PST 5s sound great for the money. PST 7s and 8s are also really good.
@@demonicsweaters ...I wish Ludwig didn't have two kits with a similar naming theme (I'll admit it's kind of funny that Tama has 4 ((formerly 5)) kits with the Club-Jam branding). I mean, we have the Backbeat (the Accent rebrand from Guitar Center, complete with hardware and cymbals), and the Breakbeats (a 4 piece shell pack complete with Remo heads, and gig bags). Never tried the Breakbeats, but it looks like a decent deal.
@@ethanator6015 Yeah, but Breakbeats is a totally different kit. It's a compact setup that's very popular and is definitely made by Ludwig. Great little kit. The Backbeat I'm not even sure is the same as the Accent. The floor tom brackets look suspiciously similar to my PDP Encore (also a guitar center exclusive) I'm wondering if neither of those kits are actually made by PDP or Ludwig and are just licensed by GC and produced in the same factory by GC.
I have one of these. It belongs to my niece that my sister put in my house. My niece is 11 now, too big for that set. Thanks for the video, definitely will try.
Thanks. He gives the back fingers massive air and drops them wide open on the snare. The snare angle and height facilitate a maintenance of a type of single plane between his hand and stick. The stick resting position is angled way up. A more in depth analysis of the beats would be great! Thankyou though this awesome!
I have a google pixal and it does not have a headphone jack because im doing the alesis drum mixer on the kit connecting to my phone but i got an adapter to put into the charger port but no sound happens when i record
Hi Corey, I do still have it. I just got it a couple weeks ago. The little tom I'll probably use with a different set. I'll make a video about it at some point probably :). Thanks for watching and the comments.
My DDrum Red Shot kick trigger has just been really inconsistent on my 22" kick. Just got one of these with an Amazon gift card refund for a mere $4!!! Going to glue it right on the head closer to the beater and see how it goes!
do you know if you're able to change midi channels easily? Say if I'm controlling various synths and need to switch between channel 1 and channel 2 (lead and bass); thanks for the video and overview!
So funny, I went to a rehearsal space last night that had and Emad on the kick and it just confirmed everything I was saying here. Absolutely horrible mushy sound and feel!
Loved the convo. Loved the mention of Jack DeJohnette as well, his work on Miles Davis reminds me heavily of Don Cab. Miles was a genius, and his later work was almost a proto-Don Cab
My kit should be Arriving tomorrow 😅😂🎉 and I HAVE TO Get These brilliant sounds 🔊 ❤😮😂🎉 Obviously I will need to get someone who knows computers to download the kits , is it all still viable and achievable 😮???? Jaffa j
Man , ....😮..i bought an Elessis dm6 and the Sound 🔊 was Absolutely SHITE 😢😢 .... i Just Bought a TD6 KIT on Ebay for 3.50 🔟 minutes ago... cheers Dude...❤😅🎉... Great 🎮 id
the problem I run into when recording MIDI with EZ drummer in FL Studio is that it seems my 16th 32nd notes do not register well enough. Is there a way to fix this in Fl Studios? Thank you
Check on the retrigger and sensitivity settings in the drum module. Fine tuning the module will help with this issue and I've found that modules requires some tweaking when first getting things set up. Drum trigger sensitivity curves also play a large role in making the drum and triggered sound respond properly.
Nice work, I love it! My neighbor found an Accent Evolution 10" tom that some college kids were throwing out. He gave it to me and I fixed it up and re-wrapped it to match a Ludwig Classic Birch kit. I sunk more into it than it was worth, but it was free to begin with it and was a good learning experience.
Zach Barocas is such a bada$$, great to hear someone mention him. I picked up an Accent CS Custom about a year ago with a bunch of other crap. Sold the other crap for $50 more than I paid for everything. Was going to sell the drums too, but they sound awesome. I think they're all birch shells and just have a great sound. Totally underrated/undervalued and horribly marketed by Ludwig in general.
Zach is awesome. I actually recorded his band Bells 5th anniversary show and it’s here on my channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p-MR4nZosgU.htmlsi=alyA3sseHj-6tvA6. The full show is there in pieces .
I have a 16x14 floor tom converted to mini kick. I currently have 4 batter heads im trying out - remo powerstroke 4, emad bass 16 for tom, evans hydro, and a coated g2. What would you go with?
Hydraulics are always my goto on small kicks. Just don't port it if possible and you get way more low end. You usually don't need much muffling either. On my 18x7 I have a very small pillow that I removed most of the stuffing from, and the 14x10 I don't use anything.
@@demonicsweaters nice. If you had to try a 16" head for a kick other than hydro, what would u try? G2, pinstripe, pwrst4, emperor, single ply, aquarian??
Hey, you like what you like man. No offense taken on my end! My comment came from the point of view of previously not like emad heads either. Once I figured them out I do tend to preach them a bit because I think they don't always get the credit they deserve. Similar to hydraulic heads, a lot of people think they turn your drums into "cardboard boxes" but with the right tuning and different approach they can be exceptional. But again, you like what you like and that is why there are so many different awesome heads out there! I don't like Remo and think their quality control is a joke, that comment gets me hammered by the drumming community constantly.
Same thing happened with me and Remo. I feel like they used to be great but quality has dropped off. The regular Ambassadors seem to be good though still, but faced with the option I’ll get a G1
@@demonicsweaters you mentioned g1 and g2 on your snares, you should try a g12 one time. It's a thicker single ply head so you get some of the durability and focus of the g2 with the playability and open tone of a g1.
@@demonicsweaters Tbh I think Remos are designed and still produced today for vintage bearing edges. If you are playing drums with a modern sharp 45 degree bearing edge, not the rounded/30 degree vintage style, Evans just excel way out in front. I haven't played Remos on batters in years though because I have Sonors with 45 degree edges. I do currently use ebony ambassadors on the resos of toms but its Evans everywhere else. I just got a 16" tom and put a G2 and G1 on it though, the ebony ambassadors was mostly for a look on stage, I'd rather save money on tom head packs now.
@@anotheryoutubed I don't know about that, 45 degree edges have been around for a very long time. I never had an issue with remos as far as sound goes. But the last set of Emperors I got dented up like crazy in a single show. Also, the coating on the coated heads wears through insanely fast these days.
Hello, thanks for the review. I use this camera to record rehersal and live gigs, but I'm not very happy with the result, could you tell me what are the right settings for these recordings? Thank you very much!
