Hi I'm responding to tip 8 the hip is the key. I hope your still around . I recently found out 3 yrs ago I have this lower left lumbar curve I've been doing pilates for years and kinda knew already I always rolled up to the left. Anyways it's been a struggle since I found out what's wrong. What do . I'm not really breaking ground. I'm recently learning about your information then I found your video it's all correct so I feel I'm on a path finally. Ty so much for that. I know you can't assist my situation I take full responsibility. I def have all the limb off with the hip being off. I know this kills my pilate progress. My question is I have one of those 500 dollar reformers and I'm on pilateology . Joe is my hero lol. In the reformer exercises could you tell me what's best to do and maybe not to . So I make progress and not aggravate these muscles.. I take full responsibility my doctor says do anything it's good for you. I don't think he's worried about as much as me. And I'm probably doing things now anyways that you would be like omg nooooo. 😆.. take care and ty
Hi, a lumbar curve should be stabilized and not mobilized. Good to work on hip mobility and strength while stabilizing the lumbar spine. If you are doing Pilates, modify your exercises to focus on neutral spine, but lots of hip mobility.
I went to a physical therapist a couple of times but don’t feel they addressed exercise for my scoliosis. What are your credentials and where are you located? I just had another recommendation for pt but this is very specific!
I'm watching this series with such joy. I want only one thing. Where do I find this knowledge aboutscoliosis because I just want to understand how the muscles work in scoliosis (where they are weak where they are too strong etc) and how should I efficiently train without having to rely on someone. Where I can find exactly how should I train for scoliosis? Exactly the place where you have learned all this information about scoliosis.. And also, if it doesn't bother you.. If I would send you x-rays of my spine, could you recommend the best exercises for my curves? (with pics or videos cause this way I understand better). It would mean a lot to me Have a great day!
