I picked up a 7ne after owning its predecessor, the Elan II for many years. The Elan II is still my favorite on looks but the 7 is a better shooter. The Elan II has a random computer glitch that requires a reboot or strong battery. I bought a 3D printed latch to fix my Elan II but the stupid battery door still requires a “spacer.” I really want to try the 3 or a 1V some day.
Great video but small error I have to correct. Pushing and pulling film is done when developing the film. You cannot push or pull film in the camera itself. You are just over or underexposing the film from it’s original iso calibration. 6:42
The latches for the battery compartment and the film have a tendency to break. Mine had the eye control focus, you have to calibrate it and different lighting conditions can throw it off.
I think the Olympus looked better in most of the shots and would have looked even better if you turn the flash off. I'm glad to see I got my money's worth when I bought one in a thrift store for like $5.
Current prices in 2022 are $1,500 vs $100. For the price of the Contax I got the Mju 1 + Pentax Super MX + takumar 50 mm F1.4 + helios 44 + mirrorles ricoh gr iii... 😂 😂 😂
I have learned so much about photography over the years that I don't need to fix anything with software. When you do it right when you snap that shutter you won't need to ever use software. Learn the basics.
I have eos 300,300v,300x,300n,elan 7n,eos 3.The eos 3 has the best auto focus, really quick and incredible In low light, is spot on in low light and lightning quick, it's bigger than the rest and the shutter sound is loud, it sounds like an slr should sound like a v8 car compared to a 4 cylinder 😂, the elan is silent in comparison what is really nice
The specific lens will either allow manual over ride at any time or turn off AF with a switch. I think this body does also have a custom function to disable it too.
Your pictures of saw amazing please keep posting more videos especially your photo shoots using the Canon film camera and the lenses that she use phenomenal please don’t stop posting your photos
Overall I prefer the Olympus, why? Well the design still looks good, it didn't look as dated as the Contax, which looks a bit clunky and dated. The small compact, pocketable size, the simplicity and ease of use, no settings to mess with or confuse. This means whatever the situation, you're always just a quick slide of the front cover away from a quick shot. The weather resistance is always a nice feature and a welcome bonus, not many cameras seem to be able to boast that?
Bro much appreciated ! My local photo store was going to charge me $209+ just to scan 3 rolls of 35mm Tri-X… That’s how much I’m about to spend on a scanner. All I needed was this perfect step by step video on how to scan my negs!
Hello. Great video. I have a question... I JUST bought me a T2 three weeks ago and finally shot with it and got my rolls back. I noticed ALL my shots that I used FLASH mode, the subject (person) in front was Blurry [as hell] and the background was clear [lol]. I noticed in your shot @1:21/22 was the same. Why does the camera do that when using Flash mode (background in focus but actual subject in front blurry)??? Must be in some kind of incorrect setting I assume cause I've seen plenty of examples of T2 being used with FLASH and the subject in front is clear. ▪︎Does it have to do the "Exposure Compensation" in conjunction with FLASH mode on?? ▪︎Does it have to do with the "AF", "infinity" modes when FLASH is on? etc etc
I have the previous model, the Eos 7(Elan 7 I think) It is very strange to me, the eye control makes it the most advanced camera I have, although seems there is sample variation as for you is not that useful. I just love to control focus with my eye so I don't take my eye out of the viewfinder.
I found a EOS 33V, which is the 7n. I have fallen in love with it. Love the textured finish and the 4,000th shutter speed. Love it, even with the sticky grip.
Those prices are dumb as fuck.. Who wants to pay 100 (and more) for a freaking p&s lmao? I don't even have 600 for a medium format... Personally, if I had a hundred to spend, i would def buy a SLR camera and not a point and shoot. You can find canon AE-1 for exemple with a regular 50mm at 1.8 for that price. Are you seriously willing to break the bank for a 2.8 lens on an auto camera ? Quite sad imo... I own 4 p&s : one espio 90mc, one autoboy 2, a mju zoom 105 and a mju I. I got each of them for 20 euros or less.. I would seriously never pay more than 50 euros on a p&s you have almost no control over (oh and by the way, i see all these youtubers missing the focus on their mju... you guys need to use the focus lock/pré focus...) but i mean waste your money if the hype is worth it to you
