This was a fantastic film. Having lived in Britain during the Troubled times in Northern Ireland (1969 -1976), I appreciated the perspective of all involved. Irish people have suffered for so long and it was great to see that everyone's point of view was demonstrated. The assassin Billy played greatly by Derek Thompson was always conflicted and tormented as he was a family man, and Harry played brilliantly by Roy Lonnen was also extremely troubled. The British soldiers to a man hated being stationed there and were despised by the Catholics. The local population had both hate and despair in their eyes equally. Everyone in this movie is somewhat of a victim.
When drug users are having sleepless nights I doubt they are thinking about fueling the drugs trade 😂 I know when I can't sleep after a night's partying I'm thinking wer I can get my hands on some xanax 😂😂
The vigilanties were targetting addicts instead of dealers, i remember a gay lad beaten to death with bats because he had aids and was an addict, misplaced violence 😥
These police don't care about drug dealing nor the communities.. They are profitting from the drugs along with the money and property they seize.. The system is double dipping by imprisoning people citzens for their involvement in criminality. Hypocritical to say the least.. Everyone knows the politicians police judges attorneys authorities slash the elite.. profit from every criminal activities.. They encourage illegal criminality. Murdering.. Drug trafficking.. IN THE END THE JUSTICE SYSTEM ITSELF IS A BUSSINESS
In the end.. The government receives a significant percentage of the profits.. These hypocrites punish and imprison children women and men for criminal involvement but the laws only apply to us.. The same consequences and punishments dont apply to them.
Derek Thompson in this is brilliant, As is Tony Rohr, Sean Caffrey, Linda Robson, Maggie Shellvin and Benjamin Whitrow. Todays tv is rubbish i haven't had a licence for 32 years.
Remember in 90's scoreing in flats and housing estates, the flats were the worst you had to know someone or you'd be ripped off and if you had nice nikes on and a good coat they'd be nicked also, you went into flats looking as scruffy as you could, life as a junkie was dangerous in everyway, i used to think about the ppl and children i passed and would feel embarrassed, but when they get used to your face and know youll be in and out finding a secluded area to use where nobody can see, they leave you alone, they got Sons and Daughters on stuff also ☘️💚
WTF, how do those guys even get into the lookout in full uniform and why are they shooting people without any clearance? Were the Brits really that stupid? Possibly stupid enough to shoot the wrong guy, but in full uniform in the middle of a Provo neighborhood?
Never got why two very smart ppl went to war knowing it was going to harm business of one and get both unwanted attention, got the feeling the two old friends knew this so a token payment was arranged, back to business everyone's friends again, then what was averted by the two main men happened anyway Garry Hutch getting shot dead and whole thing spirals into madness anyways, what's always bothered me is i just can't see a Son going behind his father's back especially when there close and work in a family business together, their smart a knew the shit storm, it's like when Mr Cahill got shot dead, what happened to Garda surveillance car behind him 24/7 ? criminals are just that and don't pretend to be doing good, corrupt government employees is the worst of all.☘️
