I love dolls............ I am a BJD artist who likes to create unusual dolls a few years ago, whenever I looked at pictures of original dolls, it made me dream of having one of my own. This feeling pushed me into creating them myself. I am happy that what I do brings me peace of mind and happiness !
Hi... this tutorial is really amazing. I have a question : why did you have to apply vaseline on the video part 2 b but you didn't apply any on this 2a part? Did I miss something, or did you do it that way? Thanks。
So I’m trying to make my own bjd and I’ve done 99% of the sculpting. I’m trying to understand this. For example when it comes to the limbs like arms and legs. In order to keep it hollowed inside I must not plug the hole correct? I need to let the silicone sip inside? What if the arms are very tiny and thin? I’m afraid it might get stuck.
Hello Tina, I really enjoy watching you sculpt. I realized after watching your videos that we have the same name, only opposite. My name before I married was .. Tina Black… you are truly a talented soul.. I absolutely love your dolls, I’m 61 and I have never stopped loving dolls. My husband thinks it’s creepy. I don’t care.
Beautiful work Tina, but I have a question, what happens to the holes where the strings are placed? Do you drill the inside of the holes with a drill after adding the resin?
Thank you for this tutorial! This is the first one I have been able to find that has been more professional and has the quality of results I am looking for ☺️ Please consider making a tutorial on the how to create and cast the mold for the limbs as well. I will look forward to seeing more of your content!
Very nice job. I collect vintage toys. Often times I have used similar techniques to recreate missing or damaged parts in order to make the item complete again.
I had to stop myself from blowing on my smartphone screen when you were sanding and scraping the torso! I build model airplanes so I kinda got caught up in the video!!🤣
Is the rubber used for the end product something that can be played with? Like if the person gives the doll to a child, will it hold up to a child playing with it? Or is it more something to be posed and then left alone unless you want to pose it a different way?
Awesome! I never would have thought of using Vasaline as a mold release! I wanting to try to make a cavity mold to try to blow heated plastic for car body's and airplanes. I was thinking of Bondi for a two piece mold but I was looking for something to make keep the form from sticking to the Bondi. Thanks!
