What type of clay did you use in this video. This is the best tutorial of casting on RU-vid for sure. Thank you!

Hi... this tutorial is really amazing. I have a question : why did you have to apply vaseline on the video part 2 b but you didn't apply any on this 2a part? Did I miss something, or did you do it that way? Thanks。

Plexiglass and hot glue also make a great mold frame.

I'm not sure the mold should be flexible :-) Thank you Kila.

What king of vacuum chamber do you have? If not handmade, where did you get it from?

qual a bjd que é usada para fazer o molde?

Thank you for these amazing Videos! They help a lot! I want to ask how much silicone and how much resin approximately will be needed? And instead of liquid silicone, is it also possible to use something like a silicone kid which is like clay and pressing it on instead of pouring something in?
@tinawhite6211
@tinawhite6211 6 лет назад
Hi Talia :-) You need 1 liter of silicone for a head circumference of 16 cm /6,3"/ - (650 ml of the front and 350 ml of the back) You need about 70 ml resin for a head (40 ml - front and 26 ml - back) If you work with a resin you can use only a silicon for to mold. The molds should be supple. Cly hardens and can break. I have not tried to use other material. You will see why you need to use silicone in the following tutos very soon. Thanks a lot Talia

Tina White thank you a lot for your reply! I meant something like perfect mold putty. It is also silicone just not liquid silicone. I was wondering if that would create air bubbles too.. I might try it out and Tell you my results :) thank you so much
@tinawhite6211
@tinawhite6211 6 лет назад
Which silicone to use? It depends on the model and size of your doll. If your doll is small and without special details you can use silicone not liquid. I advise you to experiment. Only so you will find what you need. Good luck. I'll wait your news about your experiences. :-)

Why do you leave that "nub" of plasticine on the ear?
@tinawhite6211
@tinawhite6211 6 лет назад
To avoid the accumulation of air, I create a place for air bubbles. If I don't do this, when I cast a head in the ears will be a lot of air bubbles. :--)
