I would just recommend using wood glue instead of hot glue gun. Also if you were to add small screws to the base into the circular wood rods that would make it sturdy and not worry about the thing coming apart. Awesome idea!

I literally just watched the video that you got this idea from! She did a great job, but it seemed like more than i felt like getting into, and while she spent a heck of a lot less than the $200 one that was her inspo, it was still more than i could spend for a cat bed. As soon as you said you got your supplies at DT, I was like YES!!! You did a fantastc job on this!! Im totally impressed, and i am so doing this!
