I've seen those wicker basket cat beds for sale on websites like Wayfair listed for expensive prices ranging from $200 - $60. So I created one myself using Dollar Tree products for less than $10. This video is apart of my NEW DIY PET BED playlist so check it out if you would like some ideas on how to create your own bed for your fur baby.
SUPPLIES:
Plunger stick
3 packs of jute twine
Floral Wire
Mod Podge Glue
Beach Ball
Wood Board (about 1 ft long)
Plastic End Caps
White Spray Paint
Fabric (pillow & cat ears)

Turned out to be cute and less expensive than the other youtuber that also cut the pieces to make hers. Our cats would use it as a scratch ball pad. It was nice to hear you give Butterfly House credit as she did hers months ago without the ears. 🐱 are the best.

This is fantastic AND affordable. I'd watched the channel you mentioned but my cats are persnickety so didn't want to spend that kind of cash. I decided jute was a better option. And now, thanks to your creative genius, know it will work. Thank you! Can't wait to make this.

Love it, affordable, and I'll help my cats like it: velcro closure on the pillow for laundering & adding fresh catnip & catnip in the toy should do the trick! You also solved the $$$ issue tri-legged stand.....my climbers like height, but the foreboding $145 price for 3ft height will no longer be an issue: longer dowels (and perhaps an engineered support between legs oughta do it). THANK YOU!

Awesome video! I also saw that other one you mentioned for the $50 bed. I would rather do yours! Love the dollar store. Maybe tie the twine to the ball you used before hot gluing the burlap and then tie that to the cat bed? Might give it more support if the kitty is destructive. Lol

I literally just watched the video that you got this idea from! She did a great job, but it seemed like more than i felt like getting into, and while she spent a heck of a lot less than the $200 one that was her inspo, it was still more than i could spend for a cat bed. As soon as you said you got your supplies at DT, I was like YES!!! You did a fantastc job on this!! Im totally impressed, and i am so doing this! I had seen Butterfly House's video already, but seeing you do it even cheaper is so encouraging. I might try it myself. I think with the board base you might have been better off with 4 legs, but I absolutely loved the feet you got from Lowe's. Also, if you haven't linked that amazing sawing guide you were using in the description already, could you do that? I GOTSTA have that! Great video!

Adorable, best one I've seen. I think spray paint is toxic maybe another type smells less... Animals have a way better sense of smell than humans. SO Cute in the end!

I was over looking at the Butterfly House tutorial and saw this. I was already looking at 'fiber rush' on Amazon and thinking "owch" and now I'll just hit up the Dollar Tree instead. I have some 2 part resin for countertops I may use instead of Mod Podge, but this is great. And I have several of the wreath rings, but never thought to use them this way. LOVE YOU!

If you want the bed for the cat do not use the resin it is toxic good chance cat will chew on jute at some point
