@@martharice7381 Me neither, in fact I detest it, but RU-vid loves it (for now) and it is a way of connecting people to my channel. I will have a look and see if there is a more obvious way of adding the actual tutorial link to the reel 🙂
Hi my names Lynne and I’m 74. I’d seen these lovely little creatures for sale online and very pricey they are too. I had no idea how they were made. Today I watched your first tutorial on the herdwick sheep and I’m going to take up the hobby after watching your great tutorial which has enthused me. Ever ambitious I will eventually be wanting to make classic animals like your Hebridean sheep and foxes all sorts of rare breeds and woodland animals but I know I must start with something much simpler!! So many thanks, end of the month on pension day I shall be buying all I need to make my first herdwick And watching your other tutorials. Kindest regards Lynne
@lynnewatton6994 Hi Lynne Thanks so much for your lovely message. It is wonderful to hear how keen you are to get started and how much you like my tutorials. My blog is packed with free guides and tutorials, taking you from beginner to confident felter. Here's the link for you. Happy felting 😊 www.needlefeltingtutorials.co.uk
I never even knew i needed to needle felt... I'm such a craft junkie. I know this was filmed some time ago, but i do wonder if it would cut even less time, and add even more firmness to needle felt the shape periodically as you are rolling it. My brain is saying it would make the core even stronger.. 🤔 I will find out soon enough 😂
Yes, you can absolutely do that. I tend to roll a third and felt a little to secure. Repeat a few times and then felt more thoroughly. Rolling really firmly vastly reduces the time it takes to felt and shape. Here is another tutorial that shows a different technique ☺ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ypfj9q0Iy_A.htmlsi=vY8HQcT21G1GxLPA
This is so sweet Sandy, I loooooooove the eyelashes on the super cute cat. My friend loves cats, she has three. I’d love to make a fourth one for her. 💕💕
I love this cat ever so very much!!! It's adorable! What a great idea to show this live! I'm from Canada. I ordered the pattern and am looking forward to creating this!! 😻❣
@@thefelthub You are ever so very welcome!! I have been trying to felt a cat for some time and love that you are showing on video how to create one!! As soon as I saw the email, I just had to watch this!!😍
Awww, that kitty is everything! Looking forward to seeing the tutorial! I’ve been observing the felting from afar, but this one might finally push me into trying it.
You're so easy to listen to. Explain, but don't waffle. Great, I'm so glad I found you 😂 just got to find a bit of time to catch the blogs 🙃 I went to three counties showground today. The animals were the best of the best. All different colours. All I could think of mmm I'd use your fleece for a rabbit, or a bear 😉😂
Hi Tina and thanks so much for your lovely message and feedback.Teaching is my passion and I am so happy that my tutorials and resources are helping. Here's to many hours of creating ☺
Hi Kim It really depends on your experience and quality of your work, the time spent making it, and your audience. Don't undersell your work, and if you are at a craft fair, take note of the type of customers attending. Some customers will value handmade much more than others and are happy to pay a premium. Pop on Etsy and see what similar items are selling for. Hope this helps 😊
Thank goodness I've found you! I have been felting for 18 months now and NEEDLES. Oh my goodness! everyone tells me what they are star, triangle, sizes. Great. But how do I know what they are, the ones that I've have? You just told me, Thank you! if it wobbles its a fine needle, if it doesn't its a tougher one. NOT hard, self explanatory I hear you say, only if you know the answer. Tar very much chuck xx
Hi Tina, and thanks so much for your lovely feedback. I'm so happy I could help. I'm going to be doing a video on felting needles soon, so keep an eye out. X 😊
Thanks so much Christine. Linen will work as a backing also craft felt. However, maybe reduce the thickness of the brooch slightly if it's a thin linen. This will prevent over working the fabric. 😊
