I was there 250 a piece, suite seat's my mind was 🤯 looking down was the time instead of some jackass blocks my view well money spent I traveled from Oklahoma to California to see concert 18 hours straight then 22 hours back 💪
My pleasure. I saw that the 2023 Crossroads concerts will be released on CD/DVD, but I didn't see "Questions" in the tracklist. It wasn't fully smooth, but I wish they'd have put it on. This was the highilght of the weekend for me. Roger McGuinn's set right right before this was the other.
@s2seltaeb I think this song is one if not the best song of Stephan's. Speaking of Roger, I live in Neshoba County. Mississippi, near Philadelphia. Roger played the historic Ellis Theater next door to Marty Stuart's Congress of Country Music earlier this season as did Peter Noone and Steve Miller. I was unable to secure tickets but hope to see Asleep At The Wheel later on.
@@deltonkillen8024 That's excellent! I would like to make it out to Marty's museum someday. I catch him and the Fabulous Superlatives each time they come out there. I got to meet Cuz right after the last show, and he was very kind. I've been lucky to hold 'Clarence,' too. And I agree about "Questions" being one of Stephen's best. I like how the chord progression is shared between that one, Let It Rain, and It Don't Come Easy.
@3:33 Clapton gets into the groove on lead. Still such an amazing guitar player! Not sure who the woman is, but she's a little off-key. Still, a rockin' "senior" show, with Chris Stainton on keys. Been around forever, he has!
The first time I heard this record it was like the 1,000th time..... Like it was inside me all this time Like how Marty plays the melody from The In Crowd Reality is fuzzy and blured sometimes Mostly Always ;0)
I was at this show at Ball Arena...September 16, 2023. He did the opening set of five songs, then an acoustic set of five, and then the last five were electric. Maybe the best show I've ever been to, and I've seen most of the big British bands/members from the 60's.
@@s2seltaeb such a positive gentleman. My band used to cover "Cocaine," which, as you know, is an anti drug song by the late JJ Cale. We did it because I'm a Clapton nut. But people would come up to us and say they didn't like us doing this drug song. I'm sure EC had that happen as well. So what did he do, he threw in the word "dirty" to make it obvious he wasn't endorsing it. So now it's "She don't lie....cocaine. That dirty cocaine.". He's all but drawing people a picture.
Sadly, it is not as red anymore, because I heard that Guitar Center on Sunset Blvd in LA displayed it in the window where the California sunlight got to it. I saw it at Crossroads 2023 in LA, and it was definitely not as red as when I took this video in 2018. I was so mad!
@@s2seltaeb I can't believe it was exposed to sunlight! I'm so angry! However, I would like to see this guitar at least once. From a 17 year old in Japan who loves cream🇯🇵
He actually played in LA that weekend, I think at either the Ace Theater or the Pantages. You’ll never believe this, but I met him on accident at the hotel the morning after this video. He was super nice, and took a picture with me.
This was a totally different drum beat from the one Michael Clarke played on the original version of Eight Miles High. And McGuinn simplified his guitar playing significantly here as well. Hmm….
Allegedly there is a bootleg of Roger & Eric playing this song back in the late 60's or early 70's, that would be interesting to hear. This was pretty mediocre.
