Hi! I'm Arya and I'm a Canada-based Sound Editor, Musician, Film Composer, and all-round audio nerd, originally from Iran. On this channel I post a variety of content related to the audio world, film sound and the REAPER DAW. These will include tutorials, some of my work and the occasional rant!
Each of my videos is also accompanied by a blog post, including more detailed information cut for time, cheat sheets, notes, downloadable files, and other goodies, which you can find on my website: www.iddqdsound.com
If you purchase any of the above products, I get a small commission at no extra cost to you! I will include links to products I personally use and believe in, and probably have done a tutorial on!
left out a crucial thing: how did you get that window to the right with the midi chase line? I found it. You click on ACTIONS at the top, then type in CHASE in the filter box and you can double click the OFF word in the line about chasing MIDI and that sets it to ON (even though it makes the box suddenly disappear w/o TELLING YOU it turned it on). Anyway, that annoying problem is FIXED. thx
I am getting an error message when i try to open it : mpl_Visual Mixer.lua:2298: attempt to call a nil value (global 'ReaPack_BrowsePackages') I have no clue of anything in programing stuffs.😔
This is a brilliant video on an important and very useful topic! I hope you make more videos about must-have scripts -- there are so many, but they're almost impossible to discover.
Hi! Great videos! I learned a lot from your deepenings! I submitted on the reaper forum this feature request: " Enabling MIDI Key Snapping When Recording". What do you think about it?
thank YOU for this! One of the things that make me want to stop using Reaper. Every time I have that feeling I go "there has to be a better way" and everytime yes indeed there is a better way.
Excellent video......I know its been a couple of years since you posted this but could you give a brief overview of the process you use to deliver the spec in terms of loudness, peak....similar to the netflix delivery requirements? I know this is getting way down in the weeds (but hey, we all like weed :) ) Thanks again for all your work and contributions
So fine, now I know the other developer of my beloved DAW from whom I only knew the name and must state, also a very sympathic person. Well, as the developers are, so is the software, a good tree provides good fruit 🙂
Hourglass only lets me record some seconds, then it starts looping again from 0s. Hence I can´t record anything more than 9s, and can't record any kind of "automation".. I've tried most of the settings, but nothing? Does anyone know how I can fix this??
Thank you! Super helpful for streaming set ups. You might want to include that in A/B test for title to get more views/subs :) Just requires loopback to grab DAW audio and make available for OBS etc.
Man! I keep coming back to this video once in a while because it is so cool in the way you specify THESE exact things which I stumble upon all the time. So I bookmarked it to watch it when I can't move any forward. That also means, I can't like this video as many times, as I watch it. So these are my thumbs up: thumb up thumb up thumb up thumb up thumb up Subscribed! Love you!

COn tu ayuda mapeé de estos knobs a los knobs de mi SMK25 y a 4 parámetros configurables (no todos se dejan linkear) de Numa Player, para mezclar 4 instrumentos del plugin, gracias!
Hi, thanks for this useful video. I have encountered kind of the opposite of the problem you described near the end of the video. Sometimes the last (long) note from a previous bar gets stuck and carries on indefinitely, until I stop and press the space bar. Could this be due to the absence of a MIDI off message? I would be grateful if you could share any thoughts on this. Many thanks.
