Canadians never sold a false narrative by saying Canada would give most Indian students lengthy work and permanent residency. Who were their Indian advisors in India who sold them something different? And who told them to protest the way they are protesting? Many things they've said on their signs, or via chanting, has done nothing but make Canadians angry and want them deported. How dare they call citizens of one of the most tolerant countries in the world racist? Especially with the Hindu vs Sikh situation occurring on Canadian soil, when it should be left back in India . And why have many black students said they're being slighted by some of them during semesters? And why do the protestors only let other Indians interview them while protesting? Canadians would never go to another country and protest/demand things. And why aren't they protesting against the unscrupulous Indian agents? All Canadians are witnessing, whenever English is used, is Indians critiquing Canada only.
Canadians are raised to not hate and to embrace diversity (including being taught this in all daycares/schools). People need to look at all sides. India has a 29% unemployment rate amongst it's own graduates. One of the big reasons why young people are leaving India in droves, yes? Plus less than 50% of the 950 million working-age population in India is employed (compared to over 70% in other emerging markets). Amongst the Indian working group, many are self-employed and contain “unpaid helpers in family enterprises”. India has one of the highest emigration rates in the world. As many zero in on education as a way to gain access to a western country? Did international students/families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No. Plus Canada did NOT tell international students/parents to spend/risk their life savings on a "Canadian dream". Canada did NOT tell international students to borrow money. Canada did NOT promise international students work. Canada did NOT promise international students money. Canada did NOT promise international students PERMANENT RESIDENCY. Meanwhile freelance agents have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Often by painting a distorted picture of what students can receive from Canada. Plus in recent years, a new type of recruitment has cropped up via foreign nationals as many "edu-tech" have created online platforms to connect millions of potential students with the recruiters. The sub-agents have absolutely no no direct connection with the Canadian college. Plus the college has no no ability to control their conduct. Indian sham operations abused/abusing Indian students in person &/or via massive advertising ... PRIMARILY in their native language that most Canadians do NOT understand. They paint a false picture in the minds of their own people (of what Canada could or would or should offer Indians)! Canadians are seeing primarily Indians protesting & waving their flags on Canadian streets making demands. Because they may not have enough credentials to remain in Canada? And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires? Why isn't there crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students making demands? They're in Canada too. And even though Canada is being falsely/unfairly blamed for too much, Canada has yet to deport students like crazy (but likely will soon). Instead Canada has been trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. While also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students. Canada's own youth are also victims of the above mentioned scam artists now too. Due to a severe lack of homes & entry jobs now in Canada partially due to Indian STUDENTS swarming all post-secondary SCHOOLS ... with the vast majority fighting for PR vs returning home when their SCHOOLING ends! Many asking for asylum too (which rarely leads to PR). Questions: ⦁ What is India doing about any of this? After Canada told India to halt Ghost Consulting? Many Indians keep saying their politicians are corrupt. Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Many in or near Brampton Ontario, and Surrey British Columbia, where most Indians have lived. Coincidence? Schools that Canada is now shutting down. ⦁ What about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a shirt? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very very rare input from Canadian citizens. ⦁ What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? ⦁ What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? ⦁ What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals? Some home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Often these 'landlords' also cram 20 students in a small home and charge them each way too much for rent. ⦁ What about Indian nationals buying local businesses then repeatedly putting Indians only in the top tier positions (while also changing familiar work practices)? BC & Ontario are also outlawing the Caste System. ⦁ What about the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada? Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) even though it all stems from their ancestral home. Why???????? ⦁ What about the Canadian government launching investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent? Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border. Canadians are so so so not used to all this!! Do Indians care about Canadians suffering too? Or do they primarily want to point fingers at the Canadian government etc., when many things weren't in Canada's control? Why should Canada pay for what Indians did to Indians? Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Now everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).
I think only Punjabi students struggle you don't see other students from other countries protesting or complaining about PR. It's sad that they are going thru this, but no country will let you work or stay permanently on study base.After studies people go back.
the problem when students come to canada they all go to Toronto and go to Brampton They don’t try to go to different provinces. And there main goal is to get PR they don’t think beyond that. Know what’s happening lots of students coming from Punjab when. They get there pr they stop studying it’s just a way from them to get into Canada . Even colleges realized this. If you are going to go to college study something good that will land you a good job. If you want anything good in life it’s going to be hard nothing good ever comes easy. Pretty soon colleges in Canada will stop giving visa to Indian students coming from India . Don’t just think I am in Canada I will work on cash and I will be set NO you have to have a good salary to make it in Canada working minimum wage all your life will not get you anywhere things are expensive in Canada . I understand people want to be with there community and family but your family that came to Canada in 1990 is already set YOU have to start your journey lots of Canadians are even LEAVING Canada al they are going to the states or going to a different country it’s cold and everything is expensive. I’d you don’t make a salary if hundred thousand plus it will be hard .
these social media + parents not guiding these students are to be blamed for their misery. Their struggle will not stop here ....Education they are getting will not help them with PR so either they end up illegal or will end up coming back.
Worst idea. You must be infected with zombies if you think of studying in Canada. You spend a fortune of your loved parents, get secondary treatment to get internships, do nothing for 2 years after getting visa, face hatred from Khalistan supporters, get stressed, depressed, suicidal thoughts and totally shattered in life. Never! Never ever think of studying in Canada.
