Ive been wanting to try that Hair Jig in the bait balls too cuz ive heard of guys catching the Stripers in Perris like that. The only reason I dont do more top water is because im not sure if its the Warmer Water, but I usually have more success by grinding out slow retrieves on the bottom (which is under the Bait Balls). My logic is, the Bass are chasing them from Underneath the Ball, so its down there in their face, and if they are like me in the Summer Time (Lazy and Tired) it might be tempting...especially if I retrieve it slow. They didnt hit my finesse rig tho, they were all about that Drop Shot. When you see me do a "LIFT" thats also me dragging across, up and out of a submerged tree, sometimes on that the Bass will hit it. Sorry for the long reply! I love talking Fishing! Cheers
Whoa! Thats crazy! That happened to me before fishing in Yosemite by the river around sunset. Sadly tho, i was using a treble hook and it shreddred his wing
Ive never tabbed anything but its really not that hard. You actually have to tune the bass like 3/4 a step sharper so the open notes are in key. I forget exactly, its been forever since i shot this.
I called Carl many years ago, talked to him on the phone and after a few calls, he decided to make me one. Over the years ive bought, sold, traded dozens of CTs. I currently have 2 CTs and 2 Hilton Basses now. Thanks for watching & commenting!
I honestly hope you get that opportunity. At least make a point to visit Carl in Brooklyn to meet the man. Hes a great dude and full of wisdom! Cheers 🤘🤘🤘
We had MPs on the FOBs we called home. However, they mostly worked security, prisoner detail, and route security. Some of us would get assigned to Guard duty as well under the MPs. Thanks for watching and commenting! I appreciate it!
We were working together with Iraqi Security Forces to maintain security of the site after US Forces handed it back to them. It was mostly safe around this time so we were following up to see how the site is doing & what they need. I thought it would be cool to film the walk thru & have Ali our translator do his little schtick narration. Lol Thanks for watching! 🤘🤘🤘
I’m 77 grew up on Lake Hemet … No one knew the quality of Northern strain largemouths that used to be in the lake… the rangers used to run over to Lake Matthew back in the 1970’s when Lake Hemet used to close for a month in January and December… one year they transplanted 170 bass from 4 to 8 pounds into Hemet … my folks had a big trailer on the lake … I didn’t have to drag my boat up the mountain because my dad had a 17 1/2’ Greger bass boat ready to go … my dad an I had the lake to ourselves. No one knew how many 4-8# bass were in that lake … I’d catch and release over a 100+++ bass over 5#’s year after year… then I let my ego get to me … used to walk the lake shore in the evenings throwing spinner baits and worms … then the word got out and here came the bass clubs … it wasn’t long until the bass population got depleted… but I had my day … I’d caught and released this one bass year after year on their rock pile … my dad finally caught that that bass … we took it up to that store on HWY 74 and weighed it … yep 10lbs 1 ounce … pretty sure it was the lake record back then, but my dad and I never said a word … my dad had a mount made … I’ve caught several larger bass and released them all, but that 10-1 Northern strains hanging on my show wall … memories … my dad rest his soul still has me beat on large catfish with a 26# caught in Lake Hemet … I think we caught 11 over 20 pounds between us… Over the years and extremely low water conditions I took lots of photos of the isolated boulders and rock piles … I gave those photos to my dad’s friend … but he’s since passed away … glad to see there are still a few bass in the lake, but it looks like they are the Florida strain … I still hate that algae bloom …
Thank you sir for taking the time to watch the video and sharing your experience with the Lake. I have not been able to get on a "big" bass there but they are definitely there. The guy im fishing with in this video caught a 9lb Bass there about 4 years ago. Ill keep fishing there tho. Its not far for me & its a beautiful place to escape to! Cheers bud! 🎸🎣🎵🎶
If it had yellows stripes on its legs and a brown and light brown coloring it's probably a spotted orbweaver those spiders are everywhere in tennessee it's bite I believe feels kinda like a bee sting
Putting the info on how deep you're fishing and what type of cover is highly appreciated. I wish more channels did that. Why does nephew in black start humping when fighting a fish? Lol
Thanks i appreciate that. I really do try to he as informative & helpful as possible while trying to entertain too! I blame too much Fortnite on Nephews odd reeling style! Haha They dont get to fish very much as it is. You can hear me in thebbackground telling him to chill out with all the extra movements too 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve been trying and I got a lot of bites but I can’t bring up the fish, I would get close and alsmot bring them up but it was snap and lose the fish, idk what to do, my poles are decent but the line snapped on all the fish we hooked on too
Im sure we can figure this out! I got questions tho! What rig are you using? Set up? Pole length & stength rating? Reel? Bait Method? Braid, Mono or Fluro line? Brand of Hooks?
@@JangoMike I was using a knocker rig, the length of my pole is 7-8 ft, I was using I think the Shakespeare tiger fishing rod, I did use lures but I changed to weenies and it took off with bites, I was using between eagle claw and j hooks from MTB tackle box and I’m guessing I have fluro line, it’s clear and strong, not stretchy, and I would say 10-20 Pounds it can carry.
Shoot me an email if you like with the pics of your rig. Id reccomend getting away from Eagle Claw hooks because they have too much flex & give in them. Upgrade to Gamakatsu hooks. Is it Bass you are catching?
@@JangoMike yes I look to catch toward bass more but atp I’m just trying to catch anything, I fished many many times and haven’t caught a single fish, I only caught a 3 inch bluegill a few years ago
Blue gill can be pretty easy to get on and Bass mostly need a different style of rigging to really focus on..id reccomend you get one pole dedicated to each.
Hell Yeah thank you! Uncle Les is an inspiration and a cool dude too! You will find lots of Claypool insired stuff on my channel, some painfully blatant and some subtle 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cheers! 🤘💋🎸🎣🎵🎶
Hey brother, we watch your videos all the time. Awesome awesome videos, brother. Brother, I got a boat but it’s a two-stroke and they won’t let me on diamond valley I’m renting a bass boat taking elderly my father-in-law out for his birthday on the 31 was wondering if you could give us any good spots to a few
In the Summer with all the warm weather & bait fish, there are usually some coves on the West side of the Lake (both sides of the Rock Wall) that I like to hit. If you have anykind of Sonor look for submerged bushes/trees and bait balls. Fish in and around those. You can shoot me an email and ill snapshot a map back circled with some spots i like as well! Cheers 😎🤘🎸🎣🎵🎶
Yes. Im that insane when it comes to the Banana curse. Even if i eat a Banana the day before im gonna be on my boat, i make it a point to poop the night before & morning so there is no banana in my stomach 🤣🤣🤣
